Expect nothing less from Momo

Not much to review on this product really. I think everyone has heard of Momo shifters and know their high quality reputation. The shifter is easily fitted with three hex screws, the stitching is superb, made with real leather, great feel, high quality materials and metals. I have owned this one for two years now and it looks as new as it did the day that I got it. No tarnishing, tearing, or fading. I have only bought Momo shifters in my 20+ years of driving. They continue make the highest quality product in my opinion.

Not made like they used to be

I have purchased a new pair of mens reebok classic tennis shoes for over ten years now and always have enjoyed the quality of the tennis shoe. This is the first year I have purchased a new pair of mens reebok classic tennis shoes and been disappointed . The upper are no longer 100% leather although they are listed on Amazons description as all leather. The uppers are now a balance of leather and man made materials. This is not the same as 100% leather . The new leather/man made uppers feel cheaper and less flexible - I bought Reeboks before for their 100% leather uppers . May seem a minor point but the quality of the shoe laces is not as good as past Reebok shoes either. They feel cheaper and lighter in weight and seem to come untied very quickly. I assure you that I do know how to tie a shoe after many years. Just a little disapointed they have changed somethings on the shoe - Will look for another brand or type of Reebok that has 100% leather uppers from now on. Amazons need to change their description to reflect this change.Thank you.

Average tennis shoe

I bought this pair for tennis mostly. The shoe is decently made, though the inside of the shoe didn't have the smoothest finish and had leather pieces sicking out, especially inside the flap. I wore the shoes twice, but had to return since these run 1/2 size to a size small and were squeezing my feet painfully hard. Though I wear 9.5 M, I would either get 10 M or 9.5 D for myself. Treads are good for a tennis shoe, but the cushioning is the minimum you can have in a tennis shoe. The shoe looks great BTW.I'm a little miffed since I had to return the shoe because of the shoe being 1/2 size smaller and on the product description, there was no mention of needing to buy 1/2 size larger and Amazon is still deducting from my refund.

Great for big wide feet, but fall apart in 2-3 months

March 2010: I have worn these classic Reeboks since before they became "classic" - I mean since the early 1980s! I buy one pair and wear them exclusively - every day. They last through Maine's harsh winters and my rural outdoors lifestyle. I replace them every 10 to 14 months and they are the only shoe that fit my size 12.5 extra wide feet comfortably. You just can't beat classic leather!October 2012 update. They just don't make these like they used to. They used to last well over a year, now they begin to literally fall apart after 3 months! I have talked with a few shoe store owners who have agreed that these Reeboks are junk now. I have switched to New Balance, they make an equivalent walking shoe that is much better made

Loomis SMR751S - magic wand for smallmouth bass fishing

At first, the unusual avacado color of the rod blank was somewhat disconcerting, but it's starting to grow on me. From casting to manipulating a lure to the hook set to handling/fighting the catch, this elegant fishing tool is unexcelled. A fringe benefit is it's ability to pop a lure off a potential snag. I never lost the first jig I tied on for a long day at the lake a couple of weeks ago. Don't settle for anything less than a Loomis!

Know what you want

Purchased for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/ the 5.7L 345ci HEMI. Sounds awesome. Easy to install, and the best price anywhere is right here on Amazon.com... Don't buy it for mileage improvement, I've seen maybe 1-2 miles per gallon increase, but at ~220 bucks its not a quick return on investment. Get it for the sound and the 10-12 extra horsepower. DO IT!

K&N Cold Air Works for Me

I have a 2004 dodge that I put the K&N cold air intake on. The effect was pretty noticeable right of the bat. My mileage did increase a bit...but you have to realize its a HEMI so nothing going to make it a gas sipper. I rate it a four out of five...easy to install, works well, but it pretty loud, that's the draw back...

The horspower and throttle response from this simple product is amazing.The first time that I drove with it installed I was both pleased and scared.The decible increase from the greatly relieved air flow sounded more like a tuned exhaust system.The noise increase is only noticible when you use it. Keep your RPM below 2000 or 2500 and you (or no one else) will even know that it is there.Instilation was fairly simple. A little common sense and review of the photos will get you through any snags.Enjoy

K&N RAWR!

I purchased the 57-1516 kit for my 2003 Dodge Durango Sport 4WD.After installation and first engine turnover, I heard a pretty loud whine from the side of the new air filter. According to K&N customer service, this is normal. The noise is somewhat loud with the hood up but muffled when the hood is closed. It's not terrible but it could be a little annoying as it does creep into the interior compartment. At higher RPMs the noise is almost gone but very present at lower speeds. If you're very sensitive to these kind of noises (or *require* a quiet interior) then think twice about going with an air-intake upgrade.Installation is fairly easy if you've ever worked on your vehicle. See the instructions for the tools necessary. One tool that was omitted is a 7/16 hex wrench for tightening the stainless intake bracket..Preassembly Tips:1. Assemble the heat-shield brackets but don't completely tighten down left and bottom brackets. The right bracket can locked down. Install the rubber molding by working it into the grooves. The corners will take some extra effort but they can be fitted without any cutting. When finished, I had 2.25" of excess molding.2. On the intake tube, use a hole-saw to drill out a 3/4" hole as instructed. The hole will be rough. I used a dremel to round off the edges but be careful not to go crazy -- just clean the edges for a smooth fit. Do NOT install the grommet at this time.3. Install silicone tube with the 52 hose clamp. Tighten the hose clamp so it will just barely stay on the silicone without falling off. The other 52 clamp needs to go on the larger portion of the silicone tube. It WILL fit. Unscrew the hose clamp completely and it'll fit fine.4. Build the stainless intake-tube bracket. Prior to tightening the nylock nut with the hex wrench, be sure to verify its look against the wire drawing. Squeeze the ends of the stainless bracket inward until it's tight over the intake tube. It should "lock" onto the intake tube. The 48 hose clamp will fit over the stainless bracket in final assembly. You'll need to unscrew the 48 hose clamp completely.Hood-up Assembly Tips:1. Remove old airbox, air filter, air intake tube and air box hose. Save these parts in case you need them later. Disconnect TEMP sensor connector -- if you have one. Remove TEMP sensor by turning 1/8 turn counter-clock. Discard TEMP sensor gasket.2. Remove the factory bolts (two 10mm and one 13mm) which will be used to secure the heat-shield and stainless bracket.3. Fit the supplied grommet around the temp sensor. The sensor has a thin groove where the grommet fits over. Fit the sensor into the intake tube. Be sure to line up the sensor connector (top should be toward the throttle body.) It will take a little effort to fit the combo into the tube. I could fit about 50% and the other 50% had to be pushed down with a flat-head screwdriver. Be patient and don't damage the grommet. The grommet and sensor should be flush with the tube.4. As instructed, cut the rubber air box vent hose. I recommend fitting the vent hose onto the intake tube before final assembly. Try to line up the hose in its final position. It will take some twisting to get the hose onto the nozzle.Final Assembly Tips:1. Install the heat-shield and tighten necessary bolts. You'll have to relocate the nearby factory connector for the right bracket.2. Install intake tube over throttle body and tighten clamp. Be sure the silicone tube is snug over the throttle body.3. Install the stainless bracket and secure the A/C factory bolt.4. Install the intake tube. Position the stainless clamp as necessary.5. Install the rubber vent hose to the factory return nozzle. Twist vent hose onto nozzle.6. Install and tighten the 48 clamp over the stainless bracket.7. Install the K&N air filter with K&N logo right-side up. Tighten the 60 clamp to secure the filter.8. Re-connect TEMP sensor connector.9. Tighten all hose clamps again -- especially the throttle body clamp.10. Install stickers and carb certification sticker.11. Check for any loose brackets, bolts, etc.12. Start engine and listen for any unusual sounds or vibrations. A mid-range whine from the new air filter is normal.13. Take a test drive and accelerate to at least 4000 rpm. You will hear a throaty RAWR!

K&N Typhoon for EP3 Si

Installed quickly and easily in an '04 Civic Si - hardest part was taking the factory system out. Virtually indistinguishable from stock below 3500 rpm, but gets a lot louder very quickly after that. Not what I would consider obnoxious by any stretch (at least not with the stock exhaust), but does provide some nice aural feedback when accelerating hard or rev-matching toe-and-heel downshifts.I can't really say that 5hp is noticeable, though. I was actually hoping to get a small boost in gas mileage more than anything, but I installed it just as the temps dropped I swapped summer tires for aggressive snow tires, so it's hard to measure any meaningful difference. Due to the design of the Civic's engine bay, I'm a bit concerned about it becoming dirty quite quickly, and am considering one of the filter wraps for winter driving. Will check more closely when I install a frost plug heater next month.

First of all was the great price and fast shipping. I received in 2 days. Easy install, about 30 min. Very noticable engine roar on acceleration like you have a performance exhaust (mine is stock right now). Noticed a slightly faster pick up on a kick down acceleration. Haven't noticed any fuel mileage improvement yet, but it's hard to stay out of the throttle with the sound it makes. The easiest and quickest performance upgrade you can make.

Amazon was the best price on the internet. Installation was easy. I would advise not to completly tighten all the clamps until the intake is in the position where you want it. I made this mistake and tightened the clamps as I went just to have to loosen all the clamps because the intake was not positioned corectly and the hood would not close.

Poor fitment

I have used K&N products on almost every vehicle I've owned and this is the first time I've even been a little disappointed. The fitment was terrible. The main tube rubbed against the radiator and the brace that was supplied was pointless because it didn't really hold the inlet tube at all.

Great product!!!

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger. I installed this system about a week ago and I love it. First off it was easy to install. It took about an hour and a half. The instructions were easy to follow. I can tell there is a significant difference in the power. It sounds great and looks great. The take off power is incredible. My only regret is not buying this sooner. I was getting about 16 mpg before and now I get about 19-20 mpg. So that is a huge plus. So I highly reccomend this system.

Decent product

I had a friend that planted the idea in my mind to get a CAI because he said it was getting him a good amount of power and mpgs. So I decided to give it a shot and buy one.Going off on a side note... If you know anything about how to increase power in your truck, (cut me some slack I learned most of this from the internet. And we all know how reliable it is. But it made logical sense to me) you put a cat back exhaust on with a high-flow muffler and then put a high-flow air intake on to get more air to your engine. The exhaust then allows all the extra air and fumes to be expelled with less backpressure (which everyone seems to think you need at least some backpressure but any sort of backpressure is actually BAD). Anyway, it all just means you can burn more fuel more efficiently if you so choose to. That's how it gives you extra power.So back to my truck... I put a cat back cherrybomb extreme muffler on my truck (a 2000 Ford ranger 4.0) and I saw an mpg difference of about 1mpg with my normal driving and around a 4-5 mpg difference highway. After putting the CAI on, nothing changed. The only difference I can tell is that my truck roars when I put the pedal to the floor. So for my truck, it made very little difference. However it could do more for a v8 or a performance engine. I personally love the K&N series and would recommend it to most.

S-10 K&N air filter

I was pleasantly surprised when I found a "used" air filter for my 1993 S-10. But not nearly as surprised when I recieved the box, that it was brand new one still wrapped in the plastic! An absolte wonderful find and savings over $50. Truck now has much more noticable power, and currently checking the gas mileage for an increase.

Good product

Simple and straightforward. Horn is very loud and obnoxious tank is adequate for a few good blasts yet small enough to not take up your whole trunk. Kit comes with a hose long enough to walk around your car and fill all your tires which is convenient. Compressor does get quite hot if you fill the tank from dead empty so leave some room around it. I owned this kit a few years ago and used it as an add-on to a cusom alarm. "Manual" kit is activated by a metal cord attatched to a lever. I used a door lock actuator to turn mine into electric pulse controlled.
