Product Description

CURT Manufacturing’s Class 5 Xtra Duty+ (XD+) and Commercial Duty+ (CD+) hitches are high capacity and American made. Like all CURT hitches, the XD+ and CD+ hitch line undergoes a new 11 step finish process including an advanced A-coat under a durable, carbide powder coat. Independent salt spray tests confirm that the A-coat is substantially more rust and chip resistant than the more commonly used E-coat. XD+ and CD+ hitches have large, powerful main bodies and feature extra wide safety chain loops for heavy duty hooks. These hitches use strong, grade 8 hardware. XD+ hitches push capacities of up to 17,000 lbs GTW and 2,550 TW. CURT CD+ hitches can tow an impressive 20,000 lbs GTW and have a TW of 2,700 lbs.

Not quite, but close enough.

First the bad:Apparently, someone at Amazon doesn't understand what "NO DRILL INSTALLATION" means (glad to see they removed that note) because the Curt installation notes clearly say "DRILLING REQUIRED". Not just drilling - it takes a 9/16" drill bit, and a 1/2" drill to spin it, so you'd better be stout. You're only enlarging 2 existing holes, but that's still drilling. Wear eye protection.The description says the ratings vary by application, but since this listing only applies to one model of receiver, the specs are: 12K trailer (GTWR), 1200 tongue.Also: I ordered when it was "IN STOCK - ONLY 1 REMAINING". As soon as I ordered, it changed to "OUT OF STOCK - USUALLY SHIPS IN 2-3 DAYS". Six days later, mine shipped from the warehouse, so be prepared to wait either way.Now the good:This thing is BEEFY, and appears to be VERY well-made. I have no doubt it'll stand up better than the stock receiver on my '97 K3500 dually (which was Cl.IV, and broke). It's also easier to install than the instructions suggest. I didn't have to lower the spare, and it took me less than 15 minutes, including opening the box & sorting the hardware. I used air impact tools, but even with hand tools, I can't imagine it taking more than 30 min, unless the stock reciever is still in-place, or you take a few breaks.And Amazon was ~$100 lower than anyone else, not including the other guys' shipping, which makes it even more worth the minor hassles.

This hitch is perfect in every way.The customer service dept. at Curt was extremely helpful in selecting the proper model for my vehicle.The photo review showing the installation was also right on.Very easy to install.If you have any questions about what you need just call Curt Mfg.Plan on using a floor jack to lift into place as this unit is heavy.Fits around spare perfectly and did not have any design flaw-an absolute perfect welded steel hitch with all hardware.A+++++.

Beastly Hitch!

This hitch is very well built. It is held on with 6 1/2" supplied bolts. You will need to enlarge and or drill the 6 holes with a 1/2" bit.The side panels/mounting tabs are made from at least 1/4" plate.Im not one to be worried about finish but this hitch has a nice, thick, high gloss black finish.I bought this hitch for my 95 F250. I will be using it primarily to hold my salter for winter, once the salter is loaded with salt it acts as a sustantial tongue weight that lower class hitches are not built for.

Very strong well built Receiver

If you are looking for a receiver were you never have to worry about how much you are towing or how much weight you are towing, this is the receiver for you! Very well built, everything is 1/4 inch steel even the washers they send are 1/4 inch. Love this receiver and I would buy again in a heart beat!

Quality hitch

I purchased this hitch for my '95 F-250 4WD. The reason I purchased this hitch is it is a class 5 hitch and I figured I would rather put on the strongest one I could find. The hitch arrived quickly thanks to amazon prime, and as soon as I opened the box I could tell that it was definitely stronger than anything I needed and also that it was a very high quality hitch. This hitch is not yet installed because it has been raining and I don't feel like doing it in the rain, but it does come with instructions and the necessary hardware to put it on. I would definitely recommend this hitch to anyone who needs it because of the quality and price. Amazon could not be beat.**Update**I have had this installed on my truck for nearly a year now. Installation is a breeze, and this is a monster of a hitch. I really like it, especially because I ended up needing the extra strength because I bought a bigger trailer than I anticipated. I highly recommend that anyone that needs a high quality hitch at a great price buy it here.

Wonderful notebook case

This case is well made with the busy professional in mind. Not only does it have room and pockets to hold a notebook, but also a specialized pocket for holding a tablet. It was perfect for holding my HP Touchpad alongside my HP ProBook. There are also pockets for holding documents, accessories and pens/pencils etc.I don't know how to explain the premium feel of this case. From the thick, padded strap to the premium quality zippers that were used, this notebook case just means business and looks good doing it! I especially like the handle and the manner in which it fits together to allow you to use it to carry the case when the shoulder strap isn't appropriate. It actually makes holding the case comfortable.The understated HP logo in silver on the front and on the interior fabric are nice touches. The integrated pockets for "stuff" and the way the larger pockets have a fabric "hinge" so that the pocket doesn't open too far are also nice touches. A curious thing is the "extra" cell phone case that likely would only fit an older candy-bar style phone and not a newer smartphone.Also included is a clasp on the interior apparently for hanging keys, side cushions that protect the notebook from impacts that occur on the faces of the case where the zippers are placed and zippers that can be locked together with a standard luggage lock.Strangely enough, the only thing that is missing is instructions on how best to take advantage of all the features of the case! That and the fact that the price dropped by $4 after I had ordered are the only negatives I can think of.

Great Product keep your computer safe

I have been using this case for a few weeks now. My HP pavilion fits great in it, nice and snug. The reason I'm leaving a review is because this morning while running to catch the train the case dropped from my hand and fell down the stairs to the subway. I thought my computer is for sure cracked and dead . But thanks to this case nothing happened, lo and behold my computer still works great. This is a great case i am recommending it to everybody. Keep your computer safe buy this case.

It would seem that there is money to be made out there somewhere for a mid-priced laundry sink that falls somewhere between basic el cheapo and restaurant quality stainless steel. This sink falls into the former category, and, while the price is right, and it hasn't collapsed during use, I do get a little nervous every time the washer drains. Still, for the price, I will not complain much other than to say that I suspect that it will not be very long before the surface is permanently stained (but, hey, it's in the basement, right?). Drab, a little flimsy looking, but so far so good.

Great sink... if

The legs are very lightly made, the sink is top flight. I simply made my own stand. The legs it comes with are probably OK --I haven't read a review where they failed (yet, anyway). This is a good value without the legs --I'd have given it 5 stars if it had been offered without legs at an only slightly lower price. I am pleased with this sink, but then I also made my own stand --which may not be an option for everyone.

I love my garden cart!!

I bought the Astonica Garden Utility Cart #60600018 to replace an old rusty wheelbarrow (with a flat tire). I absolutely love the cart. It was very difficult to assemble, the isometric drawings are hard to understand, but once assembled, it's a dream. It's much bigger than I expected, and seems very sturdy.Unfortunately, the second time I used it, it had a flat tire. There's a 1" long gash in both the tire and the inner tube (yes! The tires actually HAVE tubes!). I was happy to find a reference note on this item, here on Amazon, telling me that a replacement tire can be purchased from Ace Hardware (Item #7160963). So, other than having this tire problem, I love the cart.

I use this to haul various things around my yard, and I use it to haul large garbage bags to and from a dumpster that is set a ways from my yard. It's wonderful and so easy to pull around. I put it together by myself with relative ease, and the instructions to do so is easy to follow. The tires grip nicely to any terrain and it doesn't make a lot of noise from shaking or rattling. Nice and sturdy enough to haul around piles of wood or anything else that is heavy and bulky. The handle has a foam grip for comfortable handling and you can turn the wheels easily with a heavy load. Very nice product. Definately worth every penny.

Works great

I initially purchased 4 hydrants that looked similar from the big box store down the street. They were less expensive but 3 of the 4 leaked within days. I replaced all 4 and these have been working fine for 6 months. My water pressure is very high 90-100 psi. the cheap ones are rated for much less.

The best yard hydrant you can buy.

I first installed one of these yard hydrants in our barn aisle way in about 1990. I've had no problems with it. I now have at least 7 of the Woodford Y-34-2 Iowa Yard Hydrants on our farm. I still have a couple of the cheap blue yard hydrants from the big box stores, but I'm replacing them with the Woodford hydrants as they fail.I ordered all of mine through a local plumbing supply house. I have a description of what I consider the best way to install frostproof yard hydrants at daughertyconstruction.blogspot.com under farm projects.Bill

I bought it as a replacement for a cheap one that broke after one year of use. Purchase the Woodford because of availability of parts and appears to be of much better quality. I have not had it long enough to know how durable it is.

Great Upgrade for Whole House Fan

When I purchased a whole house fan from Home Depot 10 years ago it came with plastic louvers that made a lot of noise when the fan was in use. They finally fell apart and I purchased these and to my surprise they are all metal, a great improvement. When using the fan now, it is much quieter because the louvers do not rattle. The shutters came complete with instructions and screws. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the screws it came with are flat head and not Philips. Highly recommend this product.
