iPod users beware.

Good unit with great sound. Great with radio and CDs. But the main reason I got it was to use it with my iPod. This is where this item falls flat. First off, you have to buy an adapter (KCA-420i) just to get the iPod controls to the head unit.Once you've done that, you'll find out (I did the hard way) that the data transfer b/w the iPod and deck is ungodly slow. Not music wise, but music info wise. It's extremely sluggish scrolling through songs/artists/albums. So I've basically been playing it on shuffle.But now and then, you feel like listening to a specific song/album. You can do that with this deck, but be prepared to take time to scroll to the item.I will be switching this deck for the IVA-D106 which is much faster.Cheers.

A beautiful dress, but....

This is a beautiful dress and of good quality. The color is actually brighter than what the picture shows. I returned the dress because the color does not suit my complexion. It has thin shoulder pads that make my shoulder look too high and the sleeves look too big for my arm. Because of that, the upper part of the dress does not seem to follow my body closely enough. I also feel it would look better if it was a long dress instead of a mini dress. However it may look beautiful on somebody else.

Alpine MRD-M1005 amplifier

I have this amplifier in my 99 Grand AM GT. It's wired to two Pioneer Premier TS-W2000SPL 12" subs. It's only wired into a 4ohm load but with 700 watts RMS @ 4ohm @14.4 volts is plenty good for right now. The display is awesome with all digital readouts with a blue LED background that will light up your ride good at night. The gain can be maxed all day and it won't get hot! Love this amplifier and am going to buy another one after the dreaded tax day!

Great amp

This is a really good amp it's older but works great. I have had a lot of amps in my time and this one is the one I can never let go. I'm pushing 2 15" earthquakes with this amp and this amp is amazing. If your looking for an amp to last you a long time and having no problems this is the one. This amp also never over heats which is the best thing about it.

Great with kids in tow!

I purchased this deluxe model for a beach trip in June '05. My husband was going to be tied up in meetings all day, and I was going to have my 5-year-old and my 4-month-old by myself to take on to the beach. This cart saved the day! I go to the beach numerous times each year, and even without kids I've had to drag so much stuff out to the beach. With this cart, I was able to load three beach chairs, a cooler, two beach bags, beach toys, food, pop-up tent, baby-carrier, and other things with room to spare! I was then able to push it one-handed with a 4-month-old in my arms from the hotel room to the beach. It was so light! It rolled perfectly on the sand as well. We liked it so much that we are buying one for my parents for Christmas (they have a place at the beach). I don't know how I went to the beach all these years without one!

great item for frequent beach goers

I gave this to my niece for Mother's day and upgraded the wheels as a gift to her husband on Father's day. It is a necessary carry all if you have a young child and lots of stuff, but the wheel conversion was an absolute must to go through the soft sand at Jax Beach. I just bought one for the season because I was planning on taking day trips to the shore. My VAN looks great!

You need a little muscle to stretch this on but it fits great and makes a simple van look sporty and it covered all the dents and nicks in the front. the material is leather looking and breaths nice. the instructions recommend to pull the "bra" off after it rains on it but all you have to do it wipe it down underneath, easy really. ENJOY

Best Boots I've Ever Owned

I've been wearing the Sketcher Cascades (hi-top) and the lower-cut Deja Vu work boots virtually everyday for over 10 years. I always keep a clean dress pair and a work pair of both the black and brown versions on-hand at all times. I bought my first pair because they look good but over time I found out that they are a true work boot.Working in concrete & masonry construction I've found these boots to be well constructed, very comfortable and extremely durable.Other brands of work boots, especially the steel toe and steel shank boots I've owned in the past were to hot and too heavy to wear, especially in the summer months.At one point it looked as if Sketchers had discontinued these boots and I searched everywhere and managed to find and buy 4 pairs. Fortunately it seems they started producing these boots again.THEY ARE THE BEST BOOTS I'VE EVER OWNED! What else can I say?

Not gonna lie! They make one of the nicest bras for a vehicle. If you don't want to spend a lot of time playing with your car and want a quick bra to pretty much clip on and off ( like the one on the ladys) this is the one you want. It is a stupid easy bra for your car and they look good too. F.Y.I. do not leave your bra on if your doing over 150mph! Bad things will happen!

Great fun

The set was fun to make, however the ship was smaller than the other battleship/destroyer that I made earlier. Also, it shows that you can make three different models, but you only get directions for one of them. The other two are only pictures. Aside from those things, the set was great to put together and looks nice. I look forward to making more of these military models.

An excellent value!

I have been looking for a performance-grade tabla set that did not cost an arm and a leg, so I ordered this tabla set in December 2007. It arrived in just a few days! The drums were in excellent condition, and in good tune. The bayan is nice heavy brass with a good tone. The soft travel case is well-cushioned and fits the drums perfectly. Mid-East Manufacturing delivered a great product with excellent service!

Nice instrument, syahi degrades quickly though.

I bought this set in February or March of 2010. I play it daily for approximately an hour. The syahi on the dayan drum is chipping in several places and coming off. I don't know if the glue used was good quality. My instructor told me it is not ordinary for the syahi to degrade so quickly. I haven't been playing it overly hard or anything. There is also some unevenness on the edge around the dayan, which makes uniform tuning of that one drum impossible. Other than that, the drum sounds and feels great.Hope this is helpful!

These are an excellent set of tablas. Sound pretty good, though have been having a hard time figuring out how to tune them. Not the drums fault I'm sure. Would recommend.*When it says that the covers/bases will come in a random color, EXPECT pink polka dots! That's what I got!

Nice jack stand, heavy enough for any under car work, did not come with directions to put together. Takes about five minutes to assemble, I bought a pair and one box was open on arrival. One nut was missing, other than that I would buy more if needed.

Product Description

The South Indian Mridangam shell is made from the wood of the Jackfruit tree. The Drum has two opposing heads, bass (approximately 8") and tenor (approximately 6.5"). Overall length is approximately 22-24". It is lace tuned. This Mridangam is the principal percussion instrument in South Indian classical Carnatic music. It functions as a solo instrument, as well as an accompaniment for vocals and ensembles. Compared to the Northern Indian Mridangam, the Southern Mridangam tenor head has a wider outer tonal layer, known as karani. Sliver-thin reeds are inserted between the two layers of the tenor head to create a distinct, buzzed snare sound. A small dough paste is applied on the outside center of the bass head to achieve a low bass tone. There are no tuning blocks, although they can be inserted under the straps to increase the pitch. When played, the drum is held horizontally, and played with the fingers and palms of the hands.

Good Mridangam

Fast shipping. Item as described. The mridangam is new and well-made. I previously purchased 3 mridangams in India from mridangam gurus who had them made specifically for me. Though the jackfruit wood and other materials on this mridangam are excellent, the quality of the sound on the right side does not ring like my other mridangams. Overall the sound on this mridangam is good, not excellent.
