I am very happy with this product. Lots of room for all different items - many compartments including hanging necklaces. Looks very handsome. The only minor thing is the slightly redder tone than my chest of drawers. Yes, I would highly recommend this product for the price paid.

Not as high quality as you'd like.

I have this and it works fine, is large and stores a lot. But the wood is VERY easily scratched and the stain is very thinly applied. When the it scratches it shows up very clearly in natural wood color. For $200 and with a name like Reed and Barton I expected much better quality wood finish.

Nice but extremely large

This is a beautiful piece but I didn't fully read size details at time of ordering or use a tape measure to visualize dimensions. I was totally shocked by how HUGE this box was when it arrived. The photos don't show it's relative size to anything. I just assumed it was an average size jewelry box. Not so! If you have A LOT of jewelry, this box is for you. I have to re-think though, because it was going to be a graduation present & it's definitely over-the-top for a young person.UPDATED REVIEW: Ah, ha! I knew something was wrong...The dimensions were actually posted incorrectly in the product description. Amazon is correcting it now that it's been brought to their attention. The box is not 11x9x5...it's approximately 17x9 and is 10inches high. Thankfully, I'm not going crazy!

This is a workhorse jewelry box, excellent capacity, holds a lot of earrings in the top drawer, nice proportions and looks good on the shelf, but the finish and styling are ho-hum. Still, I'm very happy with it overall.

Not made in USA

This item is not made in the USA, as the item's description states. I bought this item instead of others specifically because the seller claims that it is USA made. It is actually a Chinese made Reed & Barton jewelry chest, MSRP probably $180.Other than that error on the seller's part, this is a nice jewelry chest: good (though not flawless) finish, nice interior, decent craftmanship.

I bought this as a gift for my wife & she loved it! It's beautiful - even more attractive than the picture - and very well made. The finish is smooth, the lining is soft and luxurious, and the rising tray is a wonderful way to add more space without increasing the size of the box.Highly recommended.

Nice Quality.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. I wanted to get him something to keep his watches, cufflinks, etc in, but I wanted it to still look "man-ly." He loved it. It's good quality wood and comes with the paperwork to have a plaque engraved. Although, for the price, they could have included the price of the engraving instead of having to send in another $12.50. All in all, a good buy.

Just got this yesterday no problems with it at all. Even the brown box Amazon shipped it in was in great shape. You will see there are handles on the side, the manufactory wrap them both with plastic so it won't scratch the wood during shipment. Love that. There's a metal plate on the top of the box for engraving. The plate can be easily remove with a small screw driver. Box looks and feels like its made of good quality material. Differently worth the extra money. The pull out draw has 12 small slots line with velvet. Will by Reed and Barton products again. Only downside is if you have a very large jewelry collection this box will not meet your needs.

Husband wanted "medieval weight" and we got it

Hubby was tired of cheap daily silverware that was thin, bent, etc. His criteria were that it be fairly plain and classic looking, but "heavy enough that the knights of the round table could have used it." Also, he wanted spoons that wouldn't bend when you scooped hard ice cream, a pretty tall order. This stuff is definitely heavy--to us, that's a plus, but I'm telling you, it's REALLY heavy. If you're clearing the dinner table and you have, say, a spoon resting in a bowl, better hold onto it, because it might tip out. But it's got a beautiful sheen, great classic design, all that. The only flaw, which is an individual taste, is that the utensils are almost too big for me, although hubby loves them. I use the teaspoon as a soup spoon, and our kids use the salad forks instead of the dinner-sized forks. I use the soup spoons as serving spoons. It would be nice if they offered a serving or hostess set, and steak knives. Still, great quality, great value.

My fiancé and I were looking for a good quality stainless steel flatware set and couldn't be happier with this choice. Each piece has a great weight and feels very comfortable in the hand. The style is simple with a fun modern touch, so the set works for everyday casual use as well as dinner parties with friends. The mirror finish makes them look very impressive on the dinner table.An added bonus - I purchased this 20-piece set at a department store that I won't name prior to finding this set on Amazon. The exact same set is almost half the price on Amazon!

great set

I got my first service for 4 from Amazon years ago, and was frustrated to find it had disappeared when I went to order more. Looked everywhere on line with no luck. Then I spotted it in Walmart, with a slightly changed name, for about half what it costs now on Amazon. Anyhow, it's a great set. It's heavy and larger than most, that is the forks and spoons have longer handles. The design is very attractive, with the alternating shiny and brushed finishes. I have three sets now and will go for a fourth. When this flatware was last on Amazon, it was around $20. Fifty strikes me as steep, but I like this pattern so well I would probably spring for it if I didn't know where to get it for less. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed in the quality of the flatware. It started to rust in spots when I washed them in my dishwasher. I now have chosen to hand wash them which is not a happy alternative.
