Worst hairdryer I've ever used. Really.

After being swayed by the reveiws here and getting wise to the warranty situation, I made a point of purchasing this product in a nearby beauty supply store who is an authorized seller and thought I was getting a bargain at $125. I bought it in the hopes of taming the huge, round, coarse frizzball sitting on my head.Let me note for the skeptical that the product was brand new, unopened in the box and in obvious mint condition. It is an authentic T3 hairdryer. Yes, it dried faster, but left a noticeably dull, dry finish and seemed to strip my hair of it lustre. Not only that but I couldn't get the ends of my hair to lie straight after they had already shriveled up in the fast drying process, and the more I struggled with the ends the more flyaway my hair became. And it appears to be MORE voluminous than ever - bigger and puffier and with the same amount of frizz, only duller looking.I immediately plugged it out and plugged in my old, falling apart Babyliss Carerra (non-ionic) dryer and afer a few minutes managed to get the ends straight and see some lustre return. I agree completely with the reviewer who made the comment about losing the healthy shine.I only hope I can get my money back. I will certainly try.UPDATE - Comparison of T3 Tourmaline to less expensive Babyliss ProTT though I couldn't get my money back, I exchanged the T3 for a Babyliss ProTT 3000 Tourmaline dryer (I'd have stayed away from Tourmaline ionic infrared labels but apparently it's all the rage and very difficult to find a nice lowtech one that doesn't incorporate this technology).Like the T3, the Babyliss is also really lightweight, dries as fast or faster than the T3, and has the added benefit of more heat settings - including medium, low, and high, as well as a cool shot, whereas the T3 only offers a high heat and low heat. The Babyliss has 1900 watts and the T3 has 1800. There are various models of the Bablyiss tourmaline, but this model was at the lower end of the price range at $89, and you can get it on Amazon for about $20 less.It is for the above reasons and others I'm about to detail that it is a superior product to the T3. Not only does it cost much less but the Babyliss gave my hair a soft, lustrous, shiny smooth sheen and healthy texture, and did not leave it looking dried out and fried as the T3 did.That said, I still experienced the same problem w/the Babyliss as with the T3- it gives too much volume to my short, thick choppy layered hair and doesn't allow me to straighten it at any heat setting. What I saved in drying time (easily fifteen minutes without sweating and straining my arm) I paid for dearly in styling time to try to get the full balloon-y volume to calm down and get the ends to lay flat.In sum, I would strongly recommend saving your money on the T3 and buying the Babyliss if you want to see not merely identical but significantly improved functionality and performance over the more expensive T3 dryer. Yet I would still be less likely to recommend this or any other tourmaline-infused infrared dryer for people with very thick, voluminous hair that they want to take the poof out of and make straight, as that will likely not happen with this or similar units. As a final but very significant note on performance - the Babyliss toned down my frizz (and it's a very rainy day today) by nearly 100 percent! Also I noticed very few dry flyaways as compared to the T3.In sum, the Babyliss ProTT is an excellent product, a much better choice than the T3. It is more economical, offers greater functionality and superior performance.

Amazon.com is not an authorized dealer? T3 won't give warranty coverage

I like the product. However, having purchased it from Amazon.com, T3 will not allow me to register my product for future warranty because they claim Amazon.com is not an authorized dealer. For such an expensive every day product, a warranty would be nice to have in case anything were to go wrong. I received an email from T3 and a call back both confirming that they do not consider Amazon.com an authorized dealer. When I called Amazon, they had never heard of such a thing. Amazon.com offered to exchange my featherweight tourmaline dryer with another but that did not resolve my issue. I cannot get my T3 Tourmaline Featherweight 83808 hair dryer covered by T3's warranty because it was purchased through Amazon.com.

Very light & dries fast but other claims exaggerated

I first saw this hair dryer on a TV show talking about beauty products used by the stars. Then I noticed my hairdresser had switched to this brand. His observations were the same as mine. If you take a lot of time drying hair and the weight of the dryer is an issue, this is a very good purchase. But your hair will be no shinier or softer than with other dryers.

After two doctors and two "medications" which were harsh to my skin, required other products to handle the side affects, and they didn't even clear my skin completely, I tried the facial soap and it works fantastic with no side effects. I highly recommend this product.

It works!

I have suffered with rosacea for over 30 years. The doctors prescribe tetracycline and metrogel, but the effectiveness is limited. I was looking for a product that would stop the skin eruptions, reduce redness and help my skin to heal. I was not familiar with the theory about skin mites causing rosacea.When I opened the Chang Sheng Set, I received 2 bars of each soap (4 bars total), two pots of beauty cream, and one shampoo. I started using the soap immediately and have been using it morning and night. Within 2 days, I could tell an improvement. I was not getting new breakouts and the old ones were healing. There was a marked lessening in redness. If I stop using the soap, I get another eruption so the key is to use the soap consistently. I am very happy with the results and plan to buy it again.Side note: I have problems with skin on my left hand. Have been diagnosed with eczema. Does not seem to improve so I thought if skin mites were causing problems on my face, skin mites could be causing problems on my hand. Started treating hand same as face. Have observed reduction in redness, inflamation and fewer itchy bumps. Have noticed more dryness on hand than face, so add moisturizer, but great improvement from where I started. Great products!

GREAT WORLD WAR ONE FLYING GAME!

This game is the third installment of the Wings of War series created by Andrea Angiolino and Pier Giorgio Paglia. It introduces Observation Balloons (German balloons were called Drachens), AA guns, machine guns, air to air Le Prieur rockets, trench systems, optional altitude rules and rules for solo play. The game can stand alone but if you are an aviation enthusiast and a purist (as I am!), you will want to acquire the complete game system: Wings of War WWI: Famous Aces and Wings of War WWI: Watch Your Back! are the first modules. The game is very simple to play, it plays quickly and it can be fun for an entire family! There are miniature, replica aircraft with their own maneuver cards that can be added to the game modules to enhance historical depth.Wings of War WWI: Flight of Giants is the latest module which introduces heavy bombers but it cannot stand alone like the other modules. I personally would acquire some of the many "booster packs" to expand the aircraft availability. All in all, it is a great game system and I highly recommend it!

A good entry point or expansion to a fun game

The "Wings of War" games are unusual in combining a fairly realistic and historically accurate military simulation with very simple rules. With the basic rules, you can easily teach the game to a new player in five minutes. Each player selects an airplane card, and the matching maneuver deck. They place their planes on whatever tabletop or floor they want to use as their game board. In each turn they secretly select the maneuver cards for the next three moves their plane will make, then the use the arrows on the maneuver cards as guides to simultaneously move their plane cards along the planned course. If the planes get within firing range of each other, the players draw cards from a damage deck to find the effects. You get a nice feeling of dogfighting as your cards slide around the tabletop. A fun casual game for adults and kids maybe nine and up.But that's not where it ends. First, there are lots of optional rules that add realism and complexity. You can use as many or as few of these as suit your fancy. "Burning Drachens" adds new rules for altitude, balloon busting, anti-aircraft, and strafing trenches to the rule sets of the previous World War One games, "Famous Aces" and "Watch Your Back". I have mixed feelings about these. They do add substantial realism, but they also add more complexity and bookkeeping. As you start keeping track of each plane's altitude with little counters, and tracking the reload status of each anti-aircraft gun with more little counters, and the damage status of everything with stacks of damage cards, one is inclined to start wondering why one isn't playing this on a computer, so the computer can do all this bookkeeping. As you add more rules, game play gets slower and more fiddly, and there is a certain loss of realism in that, because air combat is fast. You kind of have to find your own sweet spot with this.Second, one game isn't really enough. "Burning Drachens" definitely is playable on it's own. You can have nice two player dogfights, and there are even quite a few very playable solitaire scenarios. But if you like it at all, you are going to be tempted to buy more games. With other games you win a lot more flexibility in setting up scenarios, and it becomes easier to play with more than two players. This game includes only the "A" damage deck (for twin guns) but includes some single-gun planes that need the "B" damage deck. You can simulate "B" damage by drawing an "A" card and dividing by two, but it's nicer to have a "B" deck, which comes with "Watch Your Back". Both sides have planes using the "I" maneuver deck, but you can't fight them against each other because only one "I" deck comes with the game. So there is a bit of a slippery slope temptation to keep buying more stuff after you buy one game."Burning Drachens" might well be the best starting point if you just want to buy one game and try it out, assuming that you have the self control to start by ignoring all the balloons and special rules and just start with a dogfight with basic rules. Then the various add-on rules and solitaire scenarios provide a rich variety of other situations you can try out. If you want to be able to play with three or four players from the start, one of the other games might be a better choice though.One of the biggest innovations in this release is the altitude rules. It includes tons of altitude counters and climb dive maneuver cards for the maneuver decks in all previous games (decks "A" through "H"), so this is also an interesting expansion for people already owning the older games.

Great rroduct but save $ by buying immediate release tablets

I have used extended release guaifenesin (the active drug in Mucinex) for many years to help with sinus drainage and chronic bronchitis. It really works to clear out the lungs and my MD tells me it helps reduce sinus drainage as well. I stocked up on the prescription form of guaifenesin just before the FDA pulled all extended release guaifenesin from the market except for Mucinex. The reason for this action was somewhat esoteric and it allowed Mucinex to have a monopoly on the extended release form. Well, my horde of prescription guaifenesin finally ran out and I started using Mucinex. It works that same as the old prescription drugs because it is the same thing (they are both extended release guaifenesin). But, Mucinex is very expensive. So, I switched to immediate relase guaifenesin and found that it works just as well at a significant cost savings. The only thing is that you will have to take more immediate release tablets to equal a 12-hour extended release tablet. If you can't let go of the Mucinex, consider taking the immediate release during the day and Mucinex at night. You will save a lot of money. Mucinex is the only extended release tablet on the market. So, if it is guaifenesin and it is not Mucinex then it is an immediate release tablet. Check the price differences.

Life saver!! Am I am not kidding

I have problems with so many of the infection fighting meds on the market. They cause bad side effects, and often do not do what they should. This last go around over $1000 in medications and each round made the problem WORSE.I took two of these tables and they stopped on an oncoming attack of bronchitis. But to my surprise they knocked out a sinuses infection that had been dragging on for two months.I could have save $1000 if I have these from the start.Amazing stuff.

Thanks Mucinex!

This OTC medication is the only thing that has helped my Fibromyalgia besides sleep and good nutrition. I can start to tell a major difference after only missing a couple of doses. However, determining the correct dose to take did require some trial and error. This treatment should also only be done within the guidelines for the Protocol, otherwise, blocking will occur and you will be wasting both your time and money. I have tried numerous forms of guaifenesin, but the Mucinex is by far my favorite!

PERFECT - Soft, cool, withstand abuse

These sheets are perfect. I wonder if some of the negative reviewers are mistaken about which sheets they bought! I bought this exact sheet set on Amazon (on September 23, 2005 - so says the yellow bar amazon shows me on the product page), and it is our favorite set. Much better than the $500 600-TC sheets that we had custom made.These sheets are VERY soft. Just wash them a few times!They are cool - don't mistake heavy for hot. I find the high thread count makes them "slippery" - sort of like silk (but obviously not silk).I haven't had to be careful with washing. I've bleached them, tumbled them, high heat -- all of that. I haven't had them wrinkle because they always go on the bed or get folded while still warm from the dryer. They have been washed nearly 50 times (every week since I bought them and a couple of times before the first use), and are in excellent condition with no signs of wear.I don't find them to be smaller than queen sized sheets as another reviewer said. They are just right for our queen bed.I don't understand how anyone could be unsatisfied. I have stayed in many 5-star hotels and have never thought the sheets were better than these.

These are nice!

I bought these sheets based on the other reviews I read. After washing and drying and putting them on my bed, I was disappointed. Although nice, they weren't any nicer than the 350-count Ralph Lauren sheets I had been using. I was thinking maybe the other posters had been sleeping on really cheap sheets for them to call these "luxurious."However, after washing and drying several times, I have changed my mind! Wow, these just get nicer and nicer each time. They are soft and wonderfully thick--very substantial sheets. I love slipping between them at night. I just ordered another set.They ARE prone to wrinkling, but ALL high thread count cotton sheets are. It's only when they mix cotton with icky polyester that sheets don't wrinkle. If you remove them from the dryer immediately, the wrinkling is minimal and most of the wrinkles come out the first time you sleep on them anyway.I gave these sheets 4 stars instead of 5 because, although advertised as an "oversized" top sheet, it is too short. I can't tuck in my sheets at the sides at all--only at the foot of the bed. I have a regular king mattress of standard dimensions, so there is no reason why the top sheet is too small. The fitted sheet is fine, though.I definitely recommend these sheets.

Not as bad as Bund Pan Collector Says

I just got one for Christmas, and have been happy with the product. I only had to use 'extreme force' if I put too much food into the chute at once. I've been juicing pineapples and apples for a few days now and have not experienced an overheating problem. Also, compared to other juicers I've had (juiceman, etc), this one is simple to clean.

I waited until I'd had mine for a month, to make sure I wasn't missing some problem, but I haven't discovered a single one. I make large quantities of juice nearly every day, and in my view this juicer is efficient and simple to clean. It hasn't overheated, and it's handled every fruit I put in it with no hassle. I do tend to be careful not to overstuff the feed chute, but I've juiced whole apples without a hitch. I consider it a great buy for the money.

Nice Name Poor Performance

I recently purchased the NEW Waring juice simply because I knew the name and quality of products they typically produce.This juicer does have a larger feed chute which makes juicing easier but there are these three metal bars inside to prevent people from sticking their hand in machine. These bars obviously are there for safety but caused my food push to get stuck in the machine while juicing spinach and created a suction action. I had to wiggle and use EXTREME force to extract the food push from the machine.I also tried to juice pineapple and green apples, two of my favorites but the machine over heated. I had to follow the instructions in the manual that covered overheating throughly, now I know why they devoted so much time to overheating as this happened twice with me. I could only proceed after unplugging the machine and waiting 5 minutes with no luck, and then after ten minutes I was ready to go again.Also noticed that the pulp container had large pieces of apple skin about the size of a fifty cent piece that was not juiced. The food chute is justified to one side and also caused all the residue in the filter to collect on one side, so the longer I juiced the less juice it yeilded.The machine had two speeds, at last but never stated how many rotations per minute occured while on high or low.Overall disappointing.

Great Product I love it

The reason I bought this answering machine was so that I could delay for 6 rings before it would answer the phone. We need more time to get to the phone! It's great that it has multiple mailboxes also. There is one for me and one for my wife and one for people who don't know us (that's how we filter the junk messages!If I could change two things I would:1. I'd like a way to mount the machine on the wall. It is currently configured for desktop only.2. The machines voice isn't always clear and understandable. I don't recommend this machine for those who have trouble hearing.Other than those two things this is a great answering machine.

Hard to understand

I really wanted a three mailbox machine and found this one. Had received good reviews so I was pretty sure it would work as expected. Disappointed with the item as it is very, very difficult to understand and the only way to delete a message is to play it and hit the delete button while the message is replaying (my previous machine had a button to delete all old messages which worked great).

Wonderful Answering Machine

I debated between a three mailbox machine and a four mailbox machine but this one took my vote hands down. It's perfect for us, the set up is easy and we are able to retrieve messages from other locations at the touch of a button. The messages stay on the machine after we retrieve them in case we missed something. When we get home, there they are. It's perfect for families with 3 members, each can have their own security code to retrieve their messages. It works well with our caller id as well. I would recommend this GE Digital Answering Machine to everyone.
