5Outstanding water dispensing pot!!! Happy that I bought it!!!
By Tatyana Stolyarova
This thing makes life much easier if you have a big family or a lot of friends visiting your house. The only option I would change if I would be asked to redesign this pot is to modify the timer, because only 7 hours interval is not enough some times.

This replaced a 2.2l unit that was almost 20 years old and was still working. We just needed larger capacity.

5bird cage
By gknowlan
It is a wonderful cage, but could use a little design change. An access door on the top portion would be helpful. It is really hard to reach in there to clean and hang things up in the peak. I think it was a good purchase for the price. The roll around stand is great.

5I love these cages
By Connie Moncrief
I now own seven Xtreme cages, four large cages for my cockatiels, two smaller parakeet cages and a finch cage. For me, these cages give me the biggest bang for my buck and my birds are safely contained and happy. I have had two of the large cages for several years now and they clean up like new, and the finish (not sure if it's powder coated) is intact. If I ever need another cage (I'll admit, I am a junkie for birds that need a forever home), it will be an Xtreme cage.

3Love that didn't last
By Dolphin
Breville has won many design awards of which it should be proud. Who wouldn't prefer the sleek beauties of the sort Breville makes to the clunky plastic vessels that proliferate like so many action figures gone to graveyards. But function matters, especially at the SK550XL pricetag. And that's where this relationship faltered. First the good points:1. Beautiful kettle design: sleek, with great spout that doesn't drip (or leak as other some kettles apparently do). The stainless steel body is of good quality and reasonably heavy gauge.2. The plug design is clever and convenient. All appliances should adopt this style (ergonomic size with hole in the middle for easy grasping).3. Swivel base that glides with grace (a style many other mfrs seem to be using too). Now the bad:1. The stainless steel base inside the pot is a separate piece with two problems: a small gap between the rim of the base and the pot wall allows water to collect, so that the pot's never completely dry. Since any future water is boiled, the worry about bacteria is probably less of an issue than the simple fact that water collecting in invisible places allows crud to collect and shorten the life of the pot.2. The base is made of an inferior metal. Within two uses, spotting had developed. After perhaps a dozen uses, the spotting is permanent (I use both bottled and tap water; our tap water is good: neither hard nor soft).3. The water level window is designed such that the window well never dries out. The condensation makes reading the water level difficult.4. The bell advertised as a feature is almost inaudible. If you're not standing near the kettle, you won't hear it. But then, in all fairness, this pot boils in under 2 minutes (for one cuppa), so wandering too far away isn't necessary.5. The lid is mostly plastic. Only the very outer rim is stainless steel. At an $80 list price, the lid should be glass (or fully stainless).6. The handle design and material (rubber-coated) make removing the lid difficult in the best of times, but altogether frustrating in any instance where extreme care isn't taken in how the lid is positioned before lifting out. I've used the pot about 12 times and have about 10 small nicks at both ends of the inside handle where the lid almost always hits despite extra care. So, on balance, for $80 these aren't good problems to have. At half that price, I probably would have kept the kettle and groused a bit. This is one beautiful kettle whose form deserves much better function (which I take to mean quality design and materials, along with excellent performance).

5Exactly what I wanted
By Anonymous
I wanted a metal electric kettle, and I was hoping for one that was attractive if possible. It's been very good. It boils quickly, has a nice little chime when it's done, and is quite stylish on the counter. The handle stays cool and it's easy to pour. The kettle itself gets hot but it is metal, after all, and stovetop kettles get hot too, so I don't view that as a drawback. I'm very pleased.

5Elegant Functionality
By Michael A. Shoemaker
We have been using the Breville Ikon for about 18 months now, so consider this as more of a long term review than just an 'out of the box' experience. This unit receives almost daily use and sometimes twice a day and there has never been any type of problem or malfunction. Okay, so its only job is to boil water, but it does so quickly, has a clearly audible yet inoffensive chime when ready and shuts itself off. No need to worry about leaving a kettle on the stove to boil itself dry and, unlike one reviewer's concerns, it is easy to see the water level on the side meter. (Actually, while I appreciate the details in the three-star review, I cannot say that I am in agreement with any of the key concerns expressed. Maybe I am too easily pleased or perhaps they are overly critical?)Also, I like the induction heating element that keeps the 120V electricity in the base, isolated from the metal kettle full of water! Some things are better off not coming together, like electricity and water!Again, boiling water is not rocket science and one might question whether it makes sense to spend this much on a device that only does that. If, on the other hand, you like making tea or French-press coffee with precisely boiling water for the best flavor, Ikon will deliver it every time with style!

5The most useful tool on my truck.
By landscaper
I run a landscaping business in nyc. I usually work alone, and do a lot of heavy lifting. I work out of a pickup truck, and have to lift the lawnmower in and out of the truck, sometimes 10 times a day. This was really taking a toll on my back. I really needed some help, and couldn't afford to pay someone 100 bucks a day. So, I looked online for some portable, lightweight ramps. I came across the lund ramp. I decided to give it a try. So, I sucked it up and paid the 150 bucks. It was delivered to me in couple of days. I started using it, and I swear its the most useful tool on my truck. It literally saved my back, and hundreds of dollars in labor. It's small, lightweight, and very easy to assemble. Id recommend this product to anyone who needs to lift heavy objects a few feet in the air.

4Lund Bi-Fold Loading Ramp is great
By Adam Christopher Truitt
This ramp saves my back daily when I use it to put lawnmowers on my landscaping truck. It's compact design and high weight capacity make it perfect for any piece of equipment I need to load. Seriously a great buy, don't know what I'd do without it.

4Works well but needs to be longer
By W. Cates
This has worked well and I have used it for several different applications. My number one application was to load a 650cc motorcycle into the bed of my pickup. Unfortunately for the height of my pickup it could be a little longer but I have found all I need to do is back up to a midsize hill and it works fine. I also used it for moving and it is nice just to be able to walk right up it into my pickup bed. Have to be careful in wet grass becuase ther is no rubber traction matting. The directions were a little hard to follow as well but overall they are holding up well so far and I have no other complaints.

5Power and Versatility!
By Jeffrey A. Kochis
I already own a pneumatic framing nailer. I purchased this gun in the hopes that I would be able to use the metal-connector tip to shoot regular framing nails into the toenail holes on joist hangers. (We had one job that required almost 1000 metal connectors.) I already own the MCN150, which ROCKS, so I used that for all the smaller nails. Not only did the positive-placement tip work better than I ever thought it would, but this gun also packs enough punch to bury framing nails into a double LVL. I have not seen another gun that operates on standard pressure that can do that. This is a very versatile tool, and the rafter hook is always in use. You won't want to use a tool without one after this.Bottom line - buy it with confidence as it works and works well. I have experienced none of the problems some of the other reviewers have had, so perhaps Bostich has worked some of the kinks out. This is a great tool!I use Paslode nails without problems in this gun. They are available everywhere.

1A poor choice
By JimP
I have been using nail guns for 31 years, and purchased three Bostitch nailers this year alone. All have broken down. I was attracted to the F33 due to its ability to nail joist hangers (hate nailing them by hand). The gun worked reasonably well, except that the head kept falling off. Locktite didn't help, nor did my local dealer's repair person. I shipped it back for repair 6 weeks ago. The parts are backordered. I called Bostitch and was told repeatedly that they did not get involved with their own recommended service centers. If they don't, who does? I emailed customer service and got no response.Their lack of reliability, lack of customer service and their notorious attempts to design unusual collating angles in order to force buyers to use only their nails produces a score of "1" from this reviewer ( "0" isn't an option). You can't use a gun that doesn't work.

5Great Gun
By Puzzlecrack
I purchased this new from Amazon about a year ago and have gone through about 8 or 9 boxes of the generic grip-rite fasteners ($30 to $50 depending on size and galv. and available at HD, Lowes, and my both my locally owned suppliers). The gun has performed extremely well in rugged roofing conditions. I am starting a 125 sq. steel roof next week and am going for the reconditioned version this time. We'll see how it holds up. The coil roofers have been without any issues. The locater works great for hangers, by the way, the only downside is the unavailability of generic 1.5 inchers. But the ease and speed more than make up for it.

5groovy
By deeeeez
I bought this for my conure after I moved. I bought a cheap small sized cage from petco because I couldn't find anything and I needed something right away. The poor thing was depressed and probably stressed out from being in a new surrounding. I bought this cage because is resembles the cage she was in before we moved, white and dome top. Good cage, super easy to put together. Now my baby is happy and looks comfy in her home :)

4Excellent Balance of Size, Price and Performance
By G. Hirsch
The SP-350 provides sharp images and user control in a light, compact body. You can go with a wide choice of automatic modes or control the aperture, shutter, ISO, etc. settings yourself. It may not be a camera for professional photographers, but for amatuers who wants more than a "point a shoot", this camera is great. Like many compact cameras, the SP-350's built in flash has a limited range, but unlike many others, the SP-350 has a "hot shoe" (which the 7.1 megapixel SP-310 lacks) so you can add a more powerful flash. Olympus makes a very compact flash unit, the FL-20, as well as more powerful units, labelled FL-36 and FL-50. Telephoto (1.7x) and wide angle (.7x) conversion lenses are also available. The ability to use regular AA batteries is a real plus for travel. I considered many cameras, including the Canon Powershot SD-550, the Casio Elixim Ex-Z750 , and the Nikon Coolpix L1. I wanted quality images, some manual control, and a camera that is comfortable to hold. The SP-350 feels natural in one average sized hand. My pictures shot with the SP-350 have been excellent. Finally, for what you get, the price is quite reasonable. There are many good digital cameras, my advice is to get the one which you are comfortable with.

5A great little camera!!
By Peter Gaffney
I bought this camera after finding that my EOS 20D was too cumbersome for hiking in the Sierras. After shooting about 40 images of both friends and scenery, i can only say that the results are spectacular. Images are wonderfully sharp, colors are very true and vivid and the exposure meter does a first rate job under a variety of lighting conditions. The camera is easy to use, (although the power button could stand to be two-sizes bigger,) and it nests very comfortably on the strap inside a jacket, out of the way and weighing practically nothing, yet readily accessible for those sudden shots.I've used several generations of Canon Powershot cameras in the past, as well as the very excellent 20D and I was sceptical about this camera after reading a previous negative review. I have to say that I'm completely sold - a great hiking camera that is also perfect for everyday use.

5An advanced amateur camera at a point and shoot price.
By Carl M. Flarity
I bought this camera for myself as a Christmas present four months ago. The longer I've owned and used it, the more I appreciate it. As noted in the other reviews, it takes sharp, brilliant pictures that make great 81/2 X 11 prints (or larger I suppose). The first thing that caught my attention on this camera is the hot shoe. Very unusual in this size and price range. I've purchased the FL-36 flash unit so I can do bounce flash. This avoids the "deer in the headlights" look you usually get with an on-camera flash. The bounce flash pictures I've taken look as if no flash was used at all - great! I'm considering getting the hot shoe extension cable to give me even more flexibility in the use of the flash. If you hold a direct flash more than a couple feet away from the camera you don't get red-eye.As an advanced amateur photographer, I appreciate the ability to manually control the shutter speed, aperture and even manually focus the lens as needed. Of course, you can set it to full Auto and let the camera do all the thinking if you want. If you press the shutter release half way it will focus and set the exposure. Then press the shutter the rest of the way to avoid delay in actually taking the picture.I've also been taking quite a few (spectacular) macro photographs with this camera. It focuses very closely in normal mode. It gets even closer in macro mode. As in most other cameras, you lose zoom capability in macro mode. I'm a little disappointed that the smallest aperture is F8 rather than F16 (or better still F22 or F32). A smaller aperture would give more depth of field for macro photography. But I get by okay with F8.When I first got the camera I tried using alkaline AA batteries instead of the disposable CRV-3 lithium battery. This did not work well at all. I only got about ten shots before the batteries were declared dead by the camera. They were actually NOT dead. It's just that the camera needs a higher Voltage than alkalines can deliver when only slightly used. So I bought a rechargeable lithium battery, which works extremely well in this camera even though it's not listed in the specifications given by Olympus. Unfortunately, although it fits in the flash unit, the rechargeable lithium does not work in the FL-36. Its Voltage is actually too high (higher than the disposable lithium) and the flash unit shuts itself down after two seconds. The AA alkalines work fine in the flash unit but the disposable lithium CRV-3 gives faster recycling times.I also purchased the 1.7x Tele Conversion Lens as well as the Wide angle lens. You also need to purchase an adapter tube to use either accessory lens. (They are over-priced.) The Tele Conversion lens blocks a corner of the optical view finder. The wide angle lens blocks most of the view finder. This can be a problem when you use the camera out of doors where the LCD is not usable because of the bright light. The front end of the adapter tube is 37mm but uses a non-standard thread so you can't put filters or other accessory lenses on it. I have since discovered that there is an adapter tube made by another company with a standard 37mm thread on the front. I can now install a polarizing (or other) filter on my SP-350. There are a large number of (non-Olympus) 37mm accessory lenses that will work with the SP-350 using this adapter tube. I'm having a lot of fun with the wide-angle fisheye lens I bought. Do a Google search for this stuff.I noticed they have recently introduced a faster version of the xD memory card. If I didn't already own the slower version I would pay extra for the faster one. I recommend buying either the 512 Meg or one Gigabyte card.
