Comfortable and fun!

I'm already a HUGE fan of Tommy Hilfiger Bedding so these sheets were a must-have. After looking through countless online stores and department stores for these sheets in Petal Pink, I finally found them on Amazon for a really good price. These sheets are super comfortable. They wash well and get softer after every wash. I also find the sizes to be true-to-size yet big enough to fit any kind of mattress (including thick ones). I have a set that I've had for over 2 years and they're still as good as new. I LOVE THEM!!!

Great for college students!

I've been using these since August (5 months). They have been washed once-weekly since having moved into Binghamton University, in COLD water. They have not faded, and have remained very soft. They do not appear visibly worn. Terribly disappointing

I bought these sheets a couple of months ago and initially was very happy at the feel of the fabric, the color and the thread count. But after a few washings (and I'm very meticulous about following washing instructions), I was terribly disappointed at how the color began to quickly fade. The sheets now look as though I've had them for years. I definitely won't be buying these again. This was a total waste of money.

"Comfortable but"

I purchased this topper in the 1st part of January. It is comfortable to sleep on and the "chemical" odor disappeared within 24 hours of airing. The downside to the mattress is, it does not hold up to active sleeping. The topper is splitting in two areas. I would have expected it to hold together longer than two months.

comfy but not durable

I bought the 4" version of the 4-lb mattress topper about 2 years ago. After about a year or 1.5 years of use, it started seriously deteriorating.Finally today (after months of putting up with lying in "crevasses" of broken mattress pad) we threw it out. It was falling apart into chunks that looked just like crumbly sponge-cake; the only way it even held together enough for us to even carry it out was by carrying it rolled up in a sheet.I was hoping it would last longer than this. Although it was comfortable while it lasted, I would not buy a Serta brand memory foam mattress topper again.

Short term memory only

I bought the 4" version of this. The pad opened nicely over a few hours and the odor dissipated within a day or two. So far so good.The idea of memory foam is that when you press it down, it stays pressed for a while. But apparently not all visco-elastic (memory foams) are created equal. There are shades of grey, from old-fashioned bounce-right-back foams at one end to high quality viscoelastics which take a long time to bounce back from impressions, and retain that property in use. The market leader in this field (starts with a "T") claims they have a proprietary process to manufacture the foam which gives it a slow recovery and a long service life. I had assumed this was marketing hype, but after using this Serta-labeled topper, I am more ready to believe it may be true.This product is in the middle; it starts out with a modest memory property, somewhere in-between true viscoelastic and the old bouncy stuff. It's nice to sleep on, I like it, and I recommend it, especially at the low price. But it's not real memory foam. And note that one website which sells this Serta brand has the following warning: "Due to the nature of Memory Foam the firmness level of every item is unique. Please be advised that even similar products may produce different firmness results." What? Every item unique? We expect that from buying strawberries, but not manufactured products.My conclusion is that the most reliable high quality memory foam on the market is probably that very expensive "T" stuff, and to get that effect there is no other choice. This topper item is not bad at all. You may like it as an improvement over what you have now, and it costs way less. But don't expect it to have the same strong permanent viscoelastic property.

Love this shelving system

(Written by Angela's husband) This John Sterling shelving system is great. It's very strong and easy to install. I have now covered all walls in the garage with shelves using this system. I actually prefer the 14 inch brackets with a 16 inch shelf. I space the standards at 24 or 32 inches, depending on the stud spacing (I have both 24" and 16" studs). I then buy a piece of 3/4" plywood at Home Depot or Lowe's and have them cut it into six pieces which are 16" x 48" each. It's the least expensive, strongest, and easiest shelving system that I found. Two more great points: It doesn't need the floor for supports so I have floor space underneath the shelves unlike other shelving units. Also, I can go all the way up the wall and take advantage of my 10' ceilings.

Best garage storage available

I've been using the John Sterling shelving system for years. I used to buy parts at Home Depot, but they stopped selling it about 5 years ago. I started to buy them through Amazon, but their availablility was spotty and some orders took more than 3 months to deliver. The best place to buy the parts is through Ace Hardware and Aubuchon Hardware.

Caution different styles

There are two types of wall standards. The shelf brackets for standard won't fit the other standard and vice versa. On one type of bracket the hook part is on top of the bracket and the other it's on the bottom. The slots are different size on the different standards,

Works well but bowl is loose and no additional attachments

I was a little skeptical buying a non-KitchenAid mixer, since they seem to be the mixer that every chef has. However, I really liked the look of this one, and it's less expensive, and it has a 3-year warranty as opposed to a 1-year, so I took my chances. Unlike the reviewer before me, I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled it out of the box. It was slightly bigger than I expected (bulkier than our KitchenAid Artisan), but it can still fit under the cabinets even when the head is lifted, and the finish is beautiful. It looks like brushed metal, but it has a glossy coat to make it smooth. The mixer seems very well-made. I had received a KitchenAid commercial style mixer previously as a gift and returned it, because the quality seemed really poor (the finish had numerous scratches and unfinished areas of metal) and it was really big and loud. I was amazed at how quiet the Hamilton Beach mixer was. It's quieter than our Artisan mixer - you can barely hear it at all when it's on lower speeds. I made a batch of cookies and it mixed up fine. I didn't have to scrape the sides any more than with the KitchenAid. One complaint I have is that the bowl feels pretty cheap and doesn't lock as securely as the KitchenAid, and I don't know if any other bowl will fit in it. I've only used the beater attachment so far, but I'm impressed with it. The white coating on it feels really nice and smooth - I was expecting plastic from the picture, but it's actually sturdy metal covered with some kind of glossy enamel. I'm still getting used to the quick-release button in the back as opposed to the lock on the side of the KitchenAid, but I think once I get used to it, it will make things quicker and easier. I was worried I'd regret going with a company I wasn't too familiar with instead of KitchenAid, but I don't regret it at all. It's gorgeous!UPDATE:I've had this mixer for almost 4 years now, and it still works as well as it did when I first got it. However, now that I've used it more, the bowl really annoys me. It doesn't have a secure lock into the mixer. It's okay when the mixer is running, but every time I have to stop the mixer to scrape the sides, it wobbles around and comes loose from holding the handle. Also, the grip on the bowl is not ergonomic at all and definitely feels inferior to the KitchenAid bowls. Hamilton Beach does not offer a better replacement bowl, so what comes with the mixer is what you're stuck with (although they do offer replacement parts should anything break). I would probably spend the extra money on a KitchenAid mixer next time just to have more options, but at the time I got this, it was worth the savings.

Great mixer, Great price

*****UPDATE*******We've been using this several times a week for 4 and half years now and I still love it. The markings that indicate the speed along the side are long gone but also not very necessary. I would love to have this same mixer with a larger bowl. That being said, I'm very pleased with this. It's works consistently, cleans up easily, stores a way nicely. It still looks new and works as well as the day we bought it. All the beaters and plastic attachments look like new as well. I'd still recommend this without hesitation.*************Original Review*********************I originally intended to purchase the Kitchen Aid mixer. After reading the recent reviews of kitchen Aids product, I wasn't so sure about spending so much money on a questionable product. I have 2 daughters that are on special diets that require wheat-free products. I make almost everything from scratch and my little hand mixer was just not cutting it any more.I am so happy with this purchase. The breads I make are gluten free which makes them actually thicker and stickier than other breads. This mixer whips up a double sized batch with out any problems. I am often surprised that I don't have to scrape the sides! Putting the wet ingredients in first seems to do the trick. My time spent baking has been cut so much. I also like that my kids can help because of the bowl attachment. I no longer worry about their fingers getting caught in the beaters. Clean up is sooo easy I now use the mixer for small jobs like making a pudding or even salad dressing.I use this about 4 days a week so I love the 5 year warranty. It stays on my counter and I love that it fits well even with the head tilted up. Great product!! Worth every penny

Excellent Mixer

I am very happy with this purchase. After reading the reviews on this mixer and the not so great reviews on the different models of Kitchen Aid mixers I decided to purchase the Hamilton Beach. I couldn't see paying more money for a Kitchen Aid. The motor on this mixer is quiet compared to my friend's new Kitchen Aid Artisan. Some may complain that the finish on the this mixer is uneven. It's because it's all done by hand and I think it gives the finish character. It's easy to clean too.Don't be afraid to purchase this mixer, you won't regret it.

Beautiful, well made toy. But watch the price!

Purchased this rocking horse as a Christmas gift and was really surprised at the quality and craftsmanship that went into it. Love the solid wood, stained rockers and the horse is very sturdy and symmetrical (can't stand stuffed animals with crooked/warped faces and features). The leather is smooth and well stitched. The only issue would be the saddle. If your child tries to climb on using the stirrups, the saddle will slide. Haven't found out a way to secure it, but it's not that big of a deal... We just take it off! However, watch the price you pay for this. During the summer, it priced on most websites for $70 to $90. Then during the holiday shopping season, the price shoots up to $120 to $150! Still worth it but who wants to pay double for something they could get much cheaper at a different time of year?

This cymbal isn't for everyone. It is a multi purpose cymbal. What does that mean? Is it a crash ride? Yes. Is it a ride? Yes. Is it a crash? Yes.Technically every cymbal can be these things, but the Giant Beat does it all so well. It would sound weird in a metal band. It would sound more appropriate in a jazz group. Listen to "Dark Side of the Moon" or the first 2 Zeppelin albums. Listen to anything by CCR. These guys were all using Piaste Giant Beats.These cymbals are thin and light. Compared to the average ride cymbal which weighs about 2000 grams, the Giant Beat 20 inch weighs something like 1200 grams. That's a big difference. They dent easily. They are distorted in the mounting hole area easily with heavy playing. I'll bet you couldn't even break one of these because they are so malleable.They sound great though. Bright, shimmering. Not much ping for riding and they are very thin. Make wonderful crashes. I have the 14" hi hats. 18" and 20" multis. I love them. I could use them as my only cymbals and be happy. I think they are classic, rich and wonderful sounding. I recommend them.

So much fun it is hard to go to bed!

We love this product (we actually have the exact same one from National Geographic, but it isn't being sold anymore). It is so much fun that we have a hard time going to bed because we can't stop playing with it. We practice spelling, make creative shapes, and make whacky fun pictures. We enjoy scouring the house for new objects that will make good shadows when they are exposed. Everyone who has come to the house and sees it wants one. I have given three away already as gifts. It is worth the money 100%.Specifics:It comes with a glow-in-the-dark screen (similar to the ones seen at museums), a light strobe for exposing the pictures, and a light pen (attached to the strobe) for drawing. The strobe is on a timer, so you can play with it by yourself. The general concept is this: when you place an object in front of the screen, it blocks that area from being exposed with the strobe light. This creates a dark image of your object (face, hand, toy, etc.), while everywhere else glows.Once you create a picture, you can use the light pen to add lines, drawings, write words, etc. It fades quick enough to create a new picture in a few minutes (with a bit of overlap), but will last long enough to enjoy the original piece of art.Fun things to try:-take a picture of your hand and someone's head/face. Make "laser-beams" shoot out of your fingertips towards someone's "face"-try varying the distance away you use the "light pen" to create a more diffuse effect-find different objects (various kid toys, stuffed animals) and create scenes...use the light pen to fill in your sceneHours of fun for kids and adults! Highly recommend.

I was hoping this toy was going to be as cool as it seemed, and boy it sure is! In all honesty, I bought it for my 3-year-old nephew to play with his 5-year-old brother... and I want one for myself! Affordable fun + fast shipping + excellent customer service = 1 heck of a deal.

Simple fun

Uncle Milton's Shadow Magic is simply a glow-in-the-dark panel. It's very durable, and rolls up or folds for easy storage. It is a generous size and includes two break-down rods to allow the screen to hang nice and straight.You really need a bright, focused light in order to get the kind of effect indicated on the box (with sharply-defined shadows), and that's hard to come by. However, my son and I have had a lot of fun simply drawing on it with an ultraviolet penlight that was a part of an invisible-ink message kit he received separately.How much fun you have with a glow-in-the-dark screen is purely dependent on your own imagination. We're having fun!
