Product Description

This Backwashing shower filter uses the patented KDF copper-zinc alloy, in a specially designed back-washable, replaceable cartridge. With this technology, our filter has been shown to effectively remove 97+% of this damaging chlorine for up to 12 months for two people. KDF can also remove low amounts iron, sulphur, and control the mold and mildew in your shower. The special interior design of the filter causes the KDF to be "swirled", enhancing contact with the water which improves efficiency. The streamlined "off-set" design only lowers the height 1 1/2", allowing for more head room compared to other filters.
A unique feature is the "Quick Flush" back-wash. Simply twisting the cartridge to the "Flush" mark will reverse the flow "back-wash" to release the sediment that can cause other filters to fail prematurely. A good example of this benefit is New York City, where century old pipes contribute to excessively high sediment levels. While non-backwash filters were clogging up in less than two months, this shower filter is providing the full year of service!
Must be used with a 2.5 gpm (or less) showerhead for best results. Replacing the cartridge is a snap, too. Simply unscrew the holding ring and remove and replace the cartridge! Overall dimensions: 6.7" tall X 3.75" diameter. Housing material: ABS plastic. Inlet: 1/2" female pipe thread, swivel. Outlet: 1/2" male pipe thread. To install, simply unscrew your existing shower head from the shower arm and screw on the shower filter. Then screw on your shower head on the end of the shower filter. Shower filter ONLY no showerhead.
New updated model SF-1000 rated 15,000 gallons and NSF listed with higher removal of chlorine of >97.6% even after using 9,000 gallons.

KDF Shower Filter Unit Canpro

I am on my second Canpro shower filter now. I can't do without one now while I take a shower. This filter removes the chlorine from the water and I don't have to absorb the chlorine into my skin and nasal passages any more. Amazon made it simple for me to order one. It was down right almost impossible to find an order screen on the web. But Amazon came through. Thank you Amazon.com my friends.

Great filter

I used this filter for over a year and it made a very noticeable difference on the shower water. My skin was softer and my hair felt much nicer. It is easy to flush the filter and mounting it on my shower was no problem.

Filter Media

I've been using this filter in 2 showers for 2 years. Probably purchased 5 or 6 replacement filters and had 1 replaced under warranty. I like the design and idea of this shower filter. Being able to backwash is nice. However, the filter media on everyone of these has passed through the shower head and ended up in the bottom of the shower. All of these were properly installed, flushed and backwashed on a regular basis. Even new replacements have been an issue. I've finally decided to go back to using the Aquasana filter. KDF filter media has been added to the coconut shell carbon and I feel that the Aquasana will now be a good product to use. The Aquasana has a larger volume of filter media and the water is forced up vertically through the media just like the Canpro. This allows the media to settle back down into the housing as the shower is turned off. There is no backwash feature but I'm planning on changing the filter out every six months as I have done in the past with this filter.

If you read up on Whiteside you'll see that they have a well desrved reputation. These bits cut everything like its butter. Well balanced. Bought a 1/8" roundover from freud to round out the set. Really nice.

Great bits

I have tried many different manufactures over the years: Freud, Amana, Bosch .. and cheapies like sears. While some of the better names do make very good bits, I found the Whiteside superior. Right out of the box they are very sharp, excellent quality carbide (and excellent overall quality), stay sharper longer, no chatter and burn marks are very rare. Also unlike some bits the marking (on the ½ inch shanks is easy to read). If they get mixed up (happens to me all the time despite my organized storage system) it is very easy to see which is the ¾ vs. 23/32 straight bit. It is marked with the PN so you do need to look it up. The may be a little more expensive but it is definitely worth it. If you haven't tried Whiteside I encourage you to try them and put it through its paces. You might not notice a difference against one of the better brands, but over time I bet you too will be hooked.

I am only giving thbis mount 3 stars because the plastic bracket the coves the swiviles on the ceiling is useless. It is suppose to snap in place... no happening. If you are lucky enough to get it to snap in place you better have some glue on it to hold it in place...the mount it self was a good mount. But eithere it hangs down 6" or 12" there is no in between. It worked but not would have loved to have a little more height adjustment options.

Good value, a few shortcomings

All in all, a good mount for the price. A few concerns:-A limited number of extension pieces are included, so when using with larger projectors with a wide bolt pattern like the Epson 8700UB, the projector would be mounted off-center.-Very difficult to get enough tension on the screws for good lateral stability when using the extension, nearly impossible with the stock hardware.-Stock hardware isn't very good for the individual adjustments. The small Phillips head screws are soft, and I rounded out the heads with only minimal pressure from a hand-held screwdriver. Throw them out right off the bat, and replace them with some allen-head button or cap screws. Once stripped, they are very difficult to remove.That aside, the quick-disconnect is great, it's easy to adjust, and it's a better looking mount than some of the others thanks to the included cover plate. Tough to beat for the cost.

Another Fantastic Alternator!

Swerve is the 15th Figure in this line. Hasbro also added a great accesory, and a first for the Alt line, that accessory being the Flame Sticker that originally came with Takara's Binaltech Tracks, which was missing from our Alt Tracks.I had the choice of either placing it on Tracks, Battle Ravage, or Swerve... I went with nostalgia and placed in on Tracks. Really give the toy a much better depth, and makes his vehicle mode stand out that much more.Going back to Swerve, he is the third remold of this mold, and is really fantastic. Granted his namesake is a much more obsure character, Swerve head mold is very well design, and the mold itself is personally one of my favorites.Swerve is a must buy for any Alternator/Binaltech Fan, and for the Average consumer. If your looking to get into this line, Swerve is a great starting point. Not only is his Transformation unique, but his Robot mode is rock solid.Good job Hasbro!

Just like having Robocop it self

Just perfect; highly detailed, it's just like having Robocop it self in your room. It's heavy and compact; more than a toy, it's a piece of art in which you can feel the effort that manufacturers invested on it.To say the truth, I felt a little disappointed when I first turned it on to get it talking, because it started to talk like a parrot out of control. Then I realized that it talks when it detects movement in front of it.That's a great quality that will let any adult enjoy this toy like my whole family and grown friends do now; just as if they were kids again.Thank you Neca.

It broke.

1 The batteries inside the figure were damaged because it has been sitting inside since 2005! I purchased this in 2011. NECA shouldn't have installed batteries. The internal wires were also damaged because of the battery leak.2 The on/off switch broke. It completely came apart from the inside.3 Now my brand new Robocop doesn't speak. I am sad face.

Awesome detail.

This collectible looks super cool when you display it. I saw a similar product at a store but it was around $300 and the only difference is the fact it was a statue and had a sharp looking base. This product it the typical high quality, detailed and beautifully packaged Todd McFarland product. I also thought the price was very reasonable. If you love collecting 80s movie pop art this is worth the price.
