Ergonomically designed to allow you to shoot from the hip without taking the case off your shoulder: It has a contoured shape for a closer to the body center of gravity and an ergonomic NSS non-slip shoulder strap; opening away from the body by a quick release buckle; 3D hip pad with a concealed hip belt for additional support and weight distribution. The bag has numerous exterior and interior pockets for accessories and tying straps for your tripod.

Don't want/like a backpack?

This bag can contain 100-400mm Canon lens upright, Canon 40D camera body WITH battery pack, flash, a 24-105mm lens, 4 BP batteries all in the primary compartment and still has room for more use . Also room of pens, lens brush, lens cloths, air blower, 2-4 filters and battery charger.The shoulder strap offers comfort while the waist strap offer stability on the run. If you don't want to use the shoulder strap, the handle offers comfort to carry.Be aware the bag is advertised on Kata's website as having an elements cover and while I have the bag I have been attempting to obtain an elements cover for a month. While seller and distributor have both worked diligently to resolve the issue, Kata apparently has no elements cover available at this time (Sept 08-Oct-08) for this bag.
