All of the things you have ever heard about the black beauty is right on target. The ghost notes on this snare are phenominal, and the crack of the rim shot is both woody and snappy because of the brass.Just the right mix between deep and bright and absolutely no tweaking is needed to keep the tight snare sound. There is a reason this snare has been used in so many studio recordings. Ludwig's best product. You will not be disappointed.
