Worth the Money

If you like your Miele vacuum, you'll like it even better with the Air Driven Turbobrush.I purchased a basic model Miele Olympus vacuum and became tired of changing the brush height setting switch on the stock brush from carpet to wood floors every few minutes. The Turbobrush solves that problem - you don't have to click anything to transition - and it does a wonderful job on my oriental carpets. I was also surprised at how strong the brush rotation/suction was given the fact that this brush operates on suction alone vice electric power.Of note, I was told by the Miele salesman that the Air Driven brush is what is recommended for homes with hardwood floors and low pile area rugs. It is not recommended for dense carpeting.

Works better than the one that comes with the vacuum

We have really low pile carpet and a long-haired cat, and the pure suction head wasn't working well enough on the hair. This turbo brush does the job well. The amount of suction applied to the brush speed is adjustable, so if you devote more of it to turning the brush it will reduce the suction somewhat but it still seems like plenty of suction when on full blast turbobrush.

I have two Miele vacuums, and I'm telling you, they are absolutely the BEST vacuums offered. They cost a little more, but are quiet, and last a lifetime (I clean houses, I know this.) I always buy parts and bags from vendors other than Miele, as you can get better prices. I purchased this part just to have on-hand IN CASE the original ever wears out!!
