works like a champ

I had a submersible pump that died at the worst possible time. I bought this one because I liked the idea of having the motor out of the water. It went together very easily and is very stable at the bottom of the sump pit. hardest part of the installation was adjusting the float switch. took a couple of tries but no biggie. I plan to dump a bucket of water into the sump pit every few months to make sure the pump is working so I'll know ahead of time if there's another problem.

I bought this unit to become my backup plan, if the first same pedestal pump malfunctioned. I like to be prepared. You can't just wait to go get one if the basement sump pump might flood. I set it up for quick-change fittings.
