Leeson Farm Duty High Starting Torque, Capacitor Start/Capacitor Run motor. Overall Length = 12.61" Excellent motor for any application requiring a 1.5 hp motor. This Totally Enclosed motor is Excellent for woodworking machines and other industrial machines where the motor is exposed to saw dust, dirt, oil and other partics in the air that will damage the motor. Motor also has manual overload protection to prevent damage in an overload situation. Mounting is standard NEMA 56 frame, flat base with 6 holes. 3" x 5" mounting. Farm duty motors have many extra features over standard motors such as double sealed bearings with Exxon grease for a temperature range of -20F to +350F. Rubber boot over reset button provides additional protection. Gasketed junction box and capacitor covers. 1 Year Manufacture Warranty.

Good motor, good price

Bought it for my Delta 14" band saw, works great. BTW, for those who may be wondering, it will rotate either direction depending on how it's wired (simple wiring directions on side of the motor).

I paid around $265.00 which is considerably less than everywhere else I looked. The local retail store wanted over $900.00 for the same motor. Delivered faster than promiced. I mounted it on a 1947 Delta band saw with a 6 inch riser block. Worked better than I expected. Turned a worn out light duty saw into a power house. Much cheaper than purchasing a big dollar machine with equal capacity.
