Old School Fender Tele sounds

Lots of boutique pickups to choose in this realm. If you like Merle, Buck, Del and Pete Anderson sounds... you might consider nocasters. They are lower output, twangier and come from Fender. I dig these pickups and own several teles. I've used the others and while they are all really good.... I'll stick with nocasters! Leo got it right with these little guys.

These pickups sound really nice. You get the old school twang but still have the ability to rock out. The neck pickup is usable unlike muddy variations I've tried. My only qualm is installing them was slightly annoying because the mounting holes come unthreaded an it can be a pain to manage. Otherwise, I highly recommend this set for the player that wants some vintage tele tone for relatively little coin.

I'm using these pickups in my Fender B-bender, and love them! They are very clean and twangy, and I've tried other Fender and Seymour Duncan PUPs; I like them better than the Noiseless, and the SD 5-2s. I have a Fender '52 AVRI, and they're comparable to those stock PUPs, with a little more punch. Recommended!
