4Great buy. Awesome mic for the price!
By Jdub00
As an independent artist and producer, I used these on a project a couple years ago (have 2 full length releases on iTunes) to stereo mic acoustic guitar (Taylor 310 and 714) and was pleasantly surprised with them. After the project I sold them and bought an akg c451 that I still have and use often. I just started recording again and decided to buy a couple small diaphragm condensor mics to stereo mic acoustic again, so I did some research and settled on a pair of these that I would modify based on other reviews and budget. I found a pair of these and had them shipped to me for less than $125. They came in a flight case with pop filters, shockmounts and replacement bands for the shockmounts. After plugging these in and recording some acoustic guitar takes, I was thrilled with the sound and quality I captured, especially with my 310, and will probably hold off on modding them because of how pleased I am. These are a great purchase for someone wanting to do some stereo recordings of acoustic guitar in their home studio with limited funds. They easily sound better than microphones of the same kind with much higher price tags.

This is a very modestly priced mic. I won't say that it's every bit as good as mics with similar features that are priced considerably higher but, all things being equal, this mic works extremely well. I use it for drum overhead and acoustic guitar. I'm sure its great for other applications but that's what I've focused on personally. Its pretty quite and has good working distance. It sits in the mix pretty well with little to no EQ, which is handy down the line. At $100.00 a pop it's very easy to afford multiples! Get one and try it out for yourself!

3Inexpensive condenser mics that works well for most application
By Jae P. Shu
I've had these mics for close to 10 years, and they still work great for me. I bought them because of their inexpensive price (I think it was about $145/pair when I bought them). I mainly use them for large choir or guitar pick up at live concerts. These mics sound great for guitar/other instrument pick ups. Although I use them for choir, I feel like the range is little too wide and the output is not as hot, resulting a less than definite sounds. I'm thinking about using these with conjunction of some shotgun mics to get more definition out of my choir. The mount is flimsy and easily broken and the wild guard is just a small cover and almost useless, but they come in a cool case. :)
