5Back for my second pair
By M. Ivie
I originally bought the black pair back in 2003 while serving in the US Navy. The boots issued to me in bootcamp 2002 only lasted maybe around a year before the metal shank started ripping though the leather. I got the black pair back in 2003 and they were great during the last 3 years of service. While standing watch down in the engine room, they don't like watchstanders to sit. So we pretty much have to stand 4-6 hours every 10-20 hours a day. You're in your boots almost 24/7 it seems like. I don't recall having sore feet while on watch. I got out in 2006 and I continued to use the same boots for my new career but after a few weeks, I decided to retire them as regular shoes were accepted where I worked. Last year (2010) we had a uniform change from denim jeans to Dickie pants. I think only boots should be worn with Dickies... well that's how I see it.For the first year with the new uniform I just stuck with some cheap $20-30 boots. I must of went though about 5-6 pairs. Finally I decided to get some real boots. I never knew the name of my boots while in the Navy except they were made by Caterpillar. With Amazons great way of narrowing down the selection, it left me with a few choices. After looking at the pictures that are provide (which are high res, which is awesome) I knew the Indiana's were it.I been wearing them around all day on my off day to help break them in. They are a little tighter on the sides than I remember my first pair and the cheap boots. I was worried so I went to a shoes store to get my feet measured. They were both just under a 11in and under the normal width. They don't hurt, just not used to it I guess. After wearing them all day, they do feel good to walk in and stand in. No wiggling or heel movement unlike my cheap pair. I feel like I'll get 3 years out of these boots easilyBy the way, I went with the Brown, color is more of a reddish brown if anything. Looks more slick than the black.UPDATE: 5/26/12 Slow day at work due to holiday weekend, thought I throw an update up.It's been little over a year since I had these boots. I wear them 5 days a week for 8 hours at work and sometimes a few more hours after work at home. Sometimes I'll even wear them on my days off for car/house work. Instead of standing like I did in the Navy, I walk all over the place. My job consist of 8 buildings, 1 with 14 floors, 3 with 4 floors, and the remaining with 3 floors spread out in a square half-mile give or take. I have to walk back and forth from these buildings pretty much all day checking equipment and adjusting equipment for staff request. These boots still are holding up strong and feel very comfortable. The sole and laces are still great and no tearing of the leather or separation issues like I use to have with cheap boots. Even after a long day, my feet feel fine. Few times a month I'll rub some shoe polish on, and buff it out with the brush.

5Perfect boots
By J. Roe-Bauer
There are no cons to these boots. They are comfortable, durable, and look pretty awesome. I have dropped a few weights on them (by accident) and they hold up fine.Five star review!

5Tough

These are a good tough boot. They lasted a few years before I needed to get another pair for my husband.
