Remo djembes are based upon the traditional drums of the West African Mandingo people, originating from the great Mali Empire of the 13th and 14th century. Remo Djembes are based on the same traditional Djembe tone and form combined with Remo's modern advances including a wide range of tuning systems, heads, finishes and sizes. Love the sound

Very good drum, I like both the powerfull bass and a loud and clear slap sound. I didn't expect this good of a sound for a veggy drum.
