4Comes with know OR elbow pads
By Noname
I bought this helmet for my nearly 5 year old daughter a few days ago, as she had outgrown her toddler helmet. She picked this one out of all the princess designs they had (and they had a few). The helmet is made of a plastic shell surrounding a 7/8" densely packed wall of Styrofoam. It is not typical packing material type Styrofoam which we can break off and peel into little balls of plastic. It is packed rock solid and would be uncomfortable if not for the fact that there are strips of a softer foam inside to cushion the child's head. The foam strips are secured by dots of Velcro hooks, so that they can be repositioned if necessary. There are no adjustments to be made for head size. If you need a helmet that has those adjustments, look elsewhere. The straps are made of soft nylon. They are easily adjustable. They fit comfortably and are not stiffer than any other helmet we own.The package does read "knee or elbow pads" and it only comes with one set of pads. We didn't buy this for the pads, since we have so many already; but someone buying this as a set be warned. My daughter has a full set of princess knee and elbow pads from her skate set, and the pads provided with the helmet are the size of those knee pads. Of course, there is nothing wrong with using them as elbow pads, just wanted to give an idea of the size of those pads.My daughter has two helmets to choose from and she always chooses this one. It's a nice helmet.UPDATE:My daughter is 5 1/2 now and the helmet fits better now than it did just half a year ago. I do wish this helmet has adjustments for the head, but it only comes with the required chin straps. Other than that, this helmet works fine and looks great. My daughter still loves it.

1CHEAP & misrepresented...only comes with 1 set of pads, not both
By S. Hamon
I received this so called value pack the other day in the mail for my 4 1/2 year old and thought maybe her grandmother made a mistake when she ordered it because I asked for one that came with both knee and elbow pads, but the packaging on this set clearly states "knee OR elbow pads" and does only have 1 set in the package. I went on Amazon to review the product description and it does state it comes with both....but DOESN'T!! Only 2 left in stock Amazon? Here comes a 3rd because I am returning this today. Not only is the product description wrong about the contents, it is misleading because it states the nylon straps are soft...they are made out of the same nylon material used for strapping down cargo and are far from being soft in any way. I cannot comment on the actual quality of the 1 set of pads in the package because I did not open it all of the way (the straps are hanging out), but the helmet doesn't seem that it could protect a dolls head if dropped off of a bicycle. I would not dare trust my childs head in this helmet. Shame on Disney for putting their name on such a low quality 'safety' product. They should also consider moving the flower pattern holes on the top of the helmet to the sides in some way to help with airflow...I can't imagine too much airflow can get inside the helmet to help cool the head off while playing and wearing this helmet. My daughter currently has a Trek helmet and I will be sure to buy her another one of those from now on.

1Unhappy
By aj_18
My daughter is five with a larger than average head. This helmet says it will fit 5+ and it is too big on my daughter. Furthermore the actual plastic wrap for the helmet was cut open by someone prior to delivery it looks like someone bought it and changed their mind. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a 6+ y/o.
