5Get Your Wings
By The Pusher
I play Blues, to classic rock to heavy metal and everything in between. Usually my amp is geared heavily towards heavy metal, But I play everything else on it just fine, after all this guitar model is over 30 years old, and there were plenty of artists who used this guitar that didn't play straight heavy metal. This guitar is string through body which means butt load of sustain. Flip the the neck pickup and you can sound like Slash for days. This guitar is the Les Paul of heavy metal. There is nothing thin at all about this guitar, especially in terms of sound. Overall it is a versatile guitar in terms of sound, the mahogany body compliments the pickups very well. Right out of the factory this guitar came ready to play. The action was a tad higher than how I usually play, but I after a few adjustments, it was spot on. The pickups are good, Grover tuners, everything seems solid. A lot of guitar here for the money. GET YOUR WINGS \m/

5Dean ML~One Sweet AXE!
By Dee
OK Guys [& Gals;)] just thought I would chime in on my Personal feelings about this Beauty,First of this thing is Solid..built like a tank,it feels & plays better than most of my High end axes, for instance I have a Gibson 79 Flying V That has always been pretty much my Main Axe,and set me back $1300.00,now I think it is worth every penny, dont get me wrong..However I find myself reaching for my "Dean ML" more,no matter what type of stuff I am playing,I mostly play Metal [Speed,Death,Thrash]but also play a lot of Hard Rock, especially the older stuff like Bad Company,April Wine,Whitesnake, hell! even stuff like Boston & Styx, some of that old Styx stuff ROCKS![just love the Equinox album]..so what I am getting at,is I play a bunch of different genres, and the Dean ML does VERY well with them all,it's a fantastic Rhythm Guitar, but also a screamer of a Lead Guitar, all in all it's a workhorse of an Axe, and for the money,I do not really think you can do much better to be honest,OK so my 79 Gibson V may have a bit better tone as far as lead & higher fret playability, but the Dean ML is chunkier as far as thick, sledgehammer Riffs,I also have to say just how damn gorgeous this guitar actually is..and how perfectly balanced it feels,I Absolutely love,LOVE this Guitar,so much in fact that I am getting another ML in "Exotic wood" and if I had the $$$ would by one in every color and wood combination..lmao, [but I seriously would!].The Dean ML is a better guitar then a ton of axes costing twice or even three times as much IMHO,and I Highly Recommend snagging one for yourself, cheers and keep on rocking people!
