Product Description
AEM Short Ram intake systems are an economical alternative to our Cold Air systems and deliver performance, value and ease of installation over any other short inlet intake. Our Short Ram intakes install easily under the hood and cost less because we use less material to manufacture them. During the development process, we found certain applications respond favorably to shorter inlet lengths over our longer Cold Air designs. For these applications (denoted in the search results page), we offer a Short Ram system only. We perform extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment, which allows our Short Ram systems to achieve the lowest inlet temperatures possible. I have a '92 Honda Civic LX, and I was trying to get it to pass SMOG. Since I live in Cali, I had to replace my intake (Which was literally a rubber tube and a random air filter that some guy put inside the car before I bought it.) I went to the Honda dealer and they asked upwards of $170 for the intake system... I did a little homework and found this AEM Intake (Which is also CARB certified!) for less than half the cost. Installation was a breeze; I did it myself (and I don't know much about cars at all.) Not to mention, my car now has more pep in its step (roll?) and the engine sounds great. Don't pass this up.

I put this on my 98 Civic EX, and the results were great. The sound is much more than I expected, and I am very pleased. I did, however, have to cut one of the tubes that ran from the bumper up to the factory air box. Love the product, great fitment, great looks, great sound. Would definitely buy AEM again.
