Worth the extra money

I was debating the LSi bookself speakers vs the RTi series so I decided to go for the upgrade. I looked at both in the stores and the LSi feels and sounds much more solid and full. I matched this with LSiC center channel and in wall speakers to match for 7.1 setup.Amazon was great as usual!

The Polk LSI-7 is a great speaker for the discerning listener. Paired with the right subwoofer, it may be the best sound for the money. In my listening environment, they sound best with treble set back one notch on my Yamaha HTR 5230 receiver. I appreciate the high end drivers Polk used when listening to classical and jazz. They image very well creating an immersive sound stage. The small size and rear diffuser give you many placement options. Beware the cherry finish shown in many pictures on the internet including Amazon is inaccurate. The actual speakers are beautiful but a much darker cherry.
