Fastest sight around

I love these sight for hand gun. They are so Fast to aquire the target in all light level.. I especial like them for Low- to no Light conditions (like being startled in the middle of the night) because of the unique verticle hash rear tritium sight.. I must admit i have used other tritium sight with rear dot configurations and have, on occassion totally missed aligned my pistol looking for the front dot and confused it for a rear in the middle of the night. (yes this usually shouldn't happen with proper stance and hand hold. but if you ever foresee your self shooting in a non-standard position ie off hand or peering out from cover it can happen)on the down side they are not very tall and it would be difficult to utilize these sight as an aid to pulling the slide to the rear in the event one hand becomes disabled.Finally, I used the rifle version of these sights with the 45 degree offset for my AR and it did not provide necessary height off the barrle axis to get a good sight picture.

If you are looking at these sights just know they are not made for precision target shooting, they are made to get on target fast and deliver hits, which they do. They may take a few rounds to get used to, I was hitting pretty low at first, but now I can shoot pretty well when I do my part.They give you all the tools necessary to install like a pro. Just take care of the wrench end of the tool for removing and installation of the front sight, it is soft aluminum and I could see it stripping easy. Use the lock-tite they provide and you should be good to go.A few hundred round through a 45acp and they have not budged. I'm pretty happy

The "Big Dot" front sight with vertical upright rear was modified from self-defense sights on rifles carried by big-game hunters. A charging lion or other close-up dangerous game requires the fastest way to get on target. Some precision must be sacrificed for speed. This is the fastest open sight system known, ideal on a self-defense handgun or carbine, but it is not well-suited for Bullseye or precision shooting at distance. XS 24/7 has added Tritium so the sights can also be seen in low or no light, where most criminal attacks occur.
