Excellent

This was my first attempt at using veneer (I'm a novice wood butcher)and found this product to be an excellent choice. I was a bit concerned about how well it would stand up to shipping, but it came through without any damage - well packed by Ovis. So far I've used this for the large flat areas on a walnut coffee table and a weather station. It cuts easily using nothing but a new blade in my box cutter, lays down and sticks well, and takes stain pretty much like the lumber otherwise used on the projects. I found that trimming the veneer, once applied, is the only real tricky part - just be sure your trimmer is very, very sharp and when you cut out the piece of veneer, leave no more than 1/8" or less to be trimmed off. I know most of what I read said to leave more, but I found it easier to trim off a very narrow piece as opposed to a larger strip. Just a great product for those who don't want to use the messy and time consuming process of contact cement.

I ordered the wood veneer with a PSA backing and I was pleased with how easy it was to use. I purchased some contemporary ledge type shelves that were laminate and I covered them in the walnut veneer. They look beautiful and appear like a nice solid wood shelf!

I used this veneer to cover speaker boxes and it worked very well. The self adhesive backing made it very easy to apply. I finished it with clear poly and it looks great.
