5Durable
By Richard G. Van Horn
I purchased the same model some 15 yearsd ago. It was essentially in continous operation in an outdoor pond, winter and summer, for that time. The only thing I had to do was periodically clean the external screen. For anyone looking for durability and performance this is the pump for you.

5Little in ssize, giant in performance
By Richard White
I first bought a Little Giant #1 pump for a fountain in my front yard in 1971. That pump burned out in 2005 after working flawlessly for nearly 35 years. I didn't run it for the 5 months of winter but still, for it to last that long is pretty impressive. Imagine my surprise and delight to see that same model still available all these years later and still made here in the United States. Remarkable.

5great pump, great customer service
By David M. Libby
Had a Little Giant pump like this for years to pump off our pool cover and to deal with occasional drainage issues. When it died after a long life, got a new pump from a different vendor that felt cheap and indeed died within a year. Now have gone back to the Little Giant brand and bought this one, which is solidly built and does a great job. Also, pump shipped the day I ordered whch was great, but I didn't pay enough attention to realize the connector on this pump is 1/4" MNPT and I wanted to connect it to a garden hose. Contacted Plumbing Planet (who sells and ships this in Amazon), and they sent the appropriate adapter to me - for free - almost immediately! So I wanted to note that the customer service from the vendor has been outstanding.
