Add an Extra Wireless Probe Alert 3000 Transmitter for the Wireless 3000 Series Alerts System. The transmitter operates on one 9-volt battery and has 50' of direct burial wire connecting the probe to the exterior case. The probe is buried parallel to the driveway, and will detect vehicles passing by within approximately 10-12 feet. The direct burial cable can be run to a tree or post nearby, where the transmitter box is located. When a vehicle drives by, the transmitter will send a signal to the WR-3000 receiver up to 600 feet away*. This is ideal in locations where there may be deer or other large animals that would cause false signals with a motion detecting system. Also, because the probe is buried underground, it will be the least noticeable of our wireless systems. The transmitter is weatherproof and meant for exterior locations.

I've been very pleased and impressed with the Dakota Alert items I've purchased. This one is for my driveway, with the transmitter mounted on a tree about 200 feet from the receiver, which is indoors and obstructed by part of the house. It works every single time, and we've come to depend on it. I have another of their transmitters, which sends an alert to the same receiver (4 channels = good) from about 250 feet away, and alerts when my shed door is opened. The transmitter is mounted inside the shed, so the signal is pretty darn good. Also works every time. Dakota Alert products seem to work better than others I've tried, I feel they're the best you can get for the money.

Bought this to replace the original one i bought 2 or 3 years back....thinking it had the same range as the one i bought before ...incidently for the SAME price! Found this was not the case as it has about half the range as before ...about 100 feet ..vs 200 easy feet before....i found that the company renamed the model number i bought previously that had the same range as my old one but TWICE the amount! Buyer beware

I have a very long dirt driveway. No one on a bicycle, holding a golf club, on a motorcycle or in a car or truck can get by my Dakota Alarm system. Out in the country it lets me have the "upper hand" if such and thing is ever needed.5 Full Stars.
