Your Best Friend on the Workbench

My father always told me how good Weller was, so when I decided to purchase a new iron, I purchased this model. He was right.Provided you follow appropriate safety procedures, this tool is super to use! All I had to do was dial up the appropriate temperature and the tip heated up in far less time than I expected. It looks very well-made and rugged. The stand is very stout as well.I dabble in electronics and robotics and I have reason to believe that this is probably the only iron I'll ever need; Weller's good reputation is well-deserved.

Best bang for the buck...

The Weller WESD51 is an excellent low cost soldering iron for the lab technician or hobbyist. The key benefit is the ability to accurately control and monitor the tip temperature. This allows using the lowest possible temperature setting (675° - 725°) which prolongs tip life and prevents component damage.It can handle a wide range of tasks from very small SMD components to large ground connections. The silicone rubber cord resists high temperatures should the tip accidentally come in contact. I have one on my lab bench at work and liked it so much I bought one for my home workbench.

Excellent item and value

This fired up right away and I have not had any problems with it at all. The temperature control is extremely accurate. The unit is very easy to use and maintain. Replacement tips and parts are readily available at places like Fry's (which wanted quite a bit more for this same iron). Although the only thing I have needed to purchase for it outside of solder was a few different style tips for varying electronic soldering applications. I highly recommend this iron for the hobbyist or professional.

Flawless product!

I was suspect of the need for "ceramic ions" and "far infrared technology", but this iron was highly recommended by salon personnel, so I decided to dish out the money and try it. You don't need to believe the hype to realize that this is a top quality product. This was a case of "you get what you pay for"! It is lightweight and ergonomic, heats up almost immediately, has a slider bar for varying heat from 176-356F (80-180C), and velvety felt that protects you from burns (also allows me to get closer to my ears and scalp without getting burned). The latter feature is worth the money to me alone, and the the ceramic feels much gentler to my hair (I have baby fine hair very prone to breakage). Two other things to keep in mind when choosing a straightener:1) size matters - smaller size is better - it's more maneuverable, and doing smaller sections at a time will produce better results.2) not all ceramic is created equal - there are solid ceramic plates or plates COATED with ceramic that are cheaper. the ceramic layer on the coated plates can peel off and is supposedly damaging to your hair (not to mention your product is ruined).so yes, this iron is more expensive, but hopefully it will last for years of top-notch straightening.(Note: The box says 0.07", but the iron is actually 0.7" [=7/10 of an inch])

Chi Ceramic flat iron

I've been using the chi flat iron regularly ever since I bought it a month ago and it works fabulously! It heats up right away and makes my curly hair super smooth instantly. The size of the mini turbo is easy to use and very light to handle. You can also use it to get spiral curls (i suggest you ask a friend because it's difficult to do a proper job at the back). I think it does a fantastic job and I highly recommend it to everyone! BTW, my hair is 3 inches below my shoulders, thick and coarse...if this iron does a great job for me, it'll work for anyone.

How I got through Chemo and Radiation

I am a recovering cancer patient who had neck cancer and they knew going in I would need a PEG or gastric tube to feed myself. The nutritionist recommended Ensure plus and to try to get 6 cans a day down. With the nausea I had during my therapy I was lucky if I could keep 2 cans down a day and quickly lost 70 pounds and went from a 42 waist to a 32. Ensure Plus is 350 calories a can. Ensure regular is 250 calories a can and to try and gain my weight back I went searching for a solution. I found it in 2Cal HN which is 500 calories per can and when I was finally able to stop the nausea I would use a can of Ensure Plus and a can of 2cal HN and I gained 35 pounds back in a very short time. I'm at a healthy 170 now and intend to stay that way and 2cal reduces the amount of times I have to feed and I have complete control of what I want to weigh using this product without having to be home all day feeding all the time. I am back to work and have no problems like having to carry all the paraphernalia needed to feed myself. I'm on the road all day and without @cal I would have to find someplace that was clean and private in places where that would be impossible. This product is wonderful and I am fully recovered except for the Xerostomia or dry mouth I was left with after my therapy which makes eating almost impossible in the normal manor except for soups recently. I can't recommend this product enough to anyone who finds themselves in my position.

lifesaving product

My husband is on a permanent feeding tube due to some cancer surgery/radiation. This product is the best we have found to use for him as it has a high calorie content and is easily tolerated. It's a godsend that Amazon stocks this and we can order it for delivery to our door here in Alaska.

Want more calories

My mom was diagnosed with ALS almost two years ago. She eats via a tube now. We were worried about her getting enough calories in and liking the flovor. The TwoCal provides a a great flovor and the formula has more calories than other products. Try it, you might like it too.
