Great Monitor

No dead pixels, no ghosting. I sure can tell a difference between the 8ms response on this one and the 24ms from my NECs at work. Great color and no manual adjustment needed.

Graphic Design Perspective

Viewsonic has many lines of products, including those that are professional, graphic-oriented, and a basic line. I have been a ViewSonic fan for many years....in fact I did not even consider another brand when purchasing this monitor. However, when you purchase this, remember that YOU ARE BUYING THE BASIC LINE OF PRODUCT!I got this monitor as a replacement for my Viewsonic GS790 19" graphic crt monitor. This monitor displayed beautiful colors, but it still was heavy, bulky, and had a few geometry issues. LCDs were getting cheap so I decided I'd try one.After using this monitor for a few months, I've noticed some problems with it. The reviewer who said that this monitor has a greenish tint is correct. I have done many graphic design projects, and I noticed in a grayscale image had a definite green tint to it. I tried many color settings on the monitor, and this was apparent even on the sRGB setting.However, the most annoying part of this monitor is when I browse the internet. Certain characters appeared greenish and the text did not look consistent in color at all. I was able to remedy this by using the custom color setting, opening a webpage, and turning down the green level until it disappeared from the text. I then turned down the other colors so they would be at the same level as the green.It is a bright monitor, but you can see a decent amount of light bleedthrough on a black screen. This isn't terribly important if you're doing office work, you might find it annoying if you look at dark images or watch movies.Looking back, I wish that I had saved my money and purchased a higher quality monitor. Readers - if you are a graphic designer and color accuracy is important to you - you may wish to look at another monitor. It's not completely unusable for graphic design, but it's certainly not the best. Portrait mode is highly useful for graphic designers - I found this out after trying another monitor for a project. If you are a graphic designer on a limited budget, you should save your money and buyer a better ViewSonic product that has better image quality and more physical adjustments.This monitor is not amazing, it doesn't have the best picture in the world, and it most certainly DOES NOT prove that LCDs are just as good as CRT monitors.

I have had a very difficlt time with lack of tech support and getting a replacement LCD. I started by an email to text support, I never got a reply. I notified Viewsonice 3/1/06 of the problem of viewing text - a red bleed through made the text very hard to read. The text support person didn't have a clue, she said ship the monitor back and fax them the proper paperwork. Two weeks later no reply. I call again, they couldn't tell me if fax arrived. That was information that only third shift people could access (I am not making this up). I had my dealer call. Viewsonic told them to fax the information again. I finally got the LCD on 3/20/06. They didn't send me a return shipping label thus I had to call them again. I asked why it wasn't in the shipping paperwork and was told it isn't included in all shipments.I tried to calibrate the VA902b on the support page but the unit is not listed.The new unit is not the picture quality I had hoped. My 7 year Samsung had better quality text and brightness.I see others are please with there purchase - I still can't believe what happened. I got the unit based upon the postive reviews.

Love it!

I had another set on my registry, but the moment I saw this set my mind had changed. I absolutely love the pattern on this set and appreciate that it is so different from the conventional animals or sports themes for boys.The quality is great and finding things to coordinate has been fun and simple since the colors are blue and white it hasn't been tricky. I only wish they would have more accesories to go along with like perhaps the lamp and accent rug... that would be nice.

Beautiful & Classy Set .....but bad quality

When I saw this online I loved it. The colors and the nautical theme were what my husband and wanted for our baby boy. However, when I saw the set at Babiesrus I was disappointed. The pattern was very nice but the bumper was so poorly stuffed as well as the comforter. For $199. Nautica should stuff there comforter and bumper with cotton instead of polyester which made this beautiful set feel cheap.I recommend seeing this set in person before purchasing it online.

Nautical Nursery Dream

This is the best nautical bedding available. I looked everywhere. I surfed the web for months and went to every baby store within 50 miles for our house!The fabric is soft and cuddly. This set is very modern, not too babyish. This set was bought for our second son. With our first we did the bright Winnie-the-Pooh, but he outgrew that real quick. This set is defenitly something he can grow with.I would reccommend this set to anyone!!!!!!

One of my favorite 2-player games!

I've played a *lot* of games (over 1000!) and this is perhaps the best 2-player game I've tried. (Others I've tried include Jambo, Battleline, Shotten-totten, Carcassone: The Castle, Lost Cities, etc.)If you enjoy strategic 2-player games, this is not to be missed. The art is beautiful, the cards are well made, and the pieces are high-quality. The rules are easy to understand, and just complex enough to be interesting for me, but not too confusing for people who don't play a lot of games.

Clever Ravens

I've now played a few games of Odin's Ravens and I'm very happy I shelled out the cash for it. It's got a great balance of luck and strategy that makes it both thoughtful and exciting.Essentially, as the name suggests, you play from the role of one of Odin's two ravens. The object is to be the first to traverse the "countryside" (a line of cards placed side-by-side). What makes this interesting is that with your hand you and your opponent can alter the countryside and even add to it. Other aspects that add flavor to the game are the fact that you can put part of your hand in reserve to be used at a later time and also gain extra points by sacrificing cards from your hand.Another interesting aspect I noticed is that because there are several ways to rack up victory points, the games tend to be fairly close. It's pretty hard to get really far ahead of your opponent in points, so the game remains exciting for both people until the end.Bottomline: Odin's Ravens is a very enjoyable game for two. Even if you play a lot of games, you'll likely find this to be refreshing and engaging.If you liked Guillotine Game then you'll probably like this.

Lots of fun and so different!

This game was really hard to track down and I finally did so through the marketplace at board game geek website. I had to pay $42 including the shipping but I am not sorry I did. I also bought some clear sleeves (odd size cards, 2 in. by 4 in.) from clear envelope website. I was afraid the cards would wear out or tear and since this is expensive for, basically, a card game, I did not want to run the risk. As mentioned by others, this game is pretty simple but lots of fun. It's just for 2 players so we are playing tournaments at our house. You are racing your raven against your opponent's raven to see who can get to the end of the path first. This is done through the playing of cards from your own card deck. I think this game does have some educational value since learning strategy is certainly a plus in this game. A very interesting game for those who would like something a little bit out of the ordinary.
