This is an exceptionally fine foundation. I have fair, neutral caucasion skin, and I use this in "Bone". I started using this foundation when I had trouble with acne and acne scars, because it covers everything, but kept using it after my skin cleared because now it looks even better! It's a thick formula and fast-drying. I like to use a flat foundation brush, synthetic, to apply. This can and will make your skin look dry if you fail to use a good moisturizer. My favorite is Skin Nanny by Lush. I apply lightly because it's so heavy, but it's the best makeup base, and it improves the look of heavier foundations. The look is natural and matte. I wouldn't use this foundation without moisturizer. It layers well, and can go from lighter to heaver coverage easily, but you must blend quickly and carefully. I also continue to use this makeup because the color is a perfect match to my pale skin that is neither pink nor yellow, just neutral I guess. I have never found a better color match from any line, even MAC. I don't use all over my face, just where it's needed and it just blends in. Finally, it stays put pretty much all day. I touch up around my nose and chin, red areas, but that's about it. Doesn't break out my skin, but it will if you neglect to wash it off. I find it washes off easily (I use Proactiv) I've tried pretty much every foundation high-end to low-end, and this one is the best for me based on color match, coverage, non-oily formula, durability (doesn't wear off easily). This foundation is not playing. I'm sure many people find it to heavy in coverage, but you have to play with it. It'll make your skin look flawless. I don't use powder with this. I like the natural sheen/finish without an added layer of powder. the lightest powder, maybe transcluscent would go best with this I imagine. I also like that it has spf 10. I don't enjoy wearing sunscreen, so this helps me feel somewhat protected. Lastly, I have to admit I love the old-fashioned heavy bottle with the gold cap. Hope they never ever stop making this liquid magic in a bottle. 10 Stars!

This is GREAT foundation. It may not be for everyone but it's more than perfect for me. I will explain my situation and how I apply it. I have dry flaky uneven skin and I have the hardest time finding a foundation that doesn't make my skin look even more dry. I found a trick for that and to make it go on very even. I cleanse, tone and apply moisturizer for my eyes and face and let my skin absorb the moisturizer well. Then I start applying foundation. I don't recommend using a sponge because it will be uneven coverage and it will suck up all of your foundation, you will just end up wasting it. I use a foundation brush. I wet my foundation brush and press it on a towel to remove any excess water. I then put a small amount (about dime size) on my hand, I then grab some with my brush and start brushing from the inside middle of my face OUTWARD. This insures you wont get the "mask" look, and it makes it look perfectly blended with your skin. You can get more foundation and add it on if you need more coverage. The key is building it.. not just putting a huge glop on your face then trying to blend it. This would be difficult. I then I then use whatever is left on the brush on my nose because this is my most dryest and it flakes vey easy. I then set with a setting powder. Instead of brushing the powder over it, I dab it all over.Overall, this foundation gave really good coverage, stayed on more than 14 hours. I never touched it up, it did not oil up or smear. This foundation gave more of a matte/natural mix coverage. My husband even complimented me and told me my face looked great and that my skin looked like a porcelin's doll :)This foundation is a keeper!!

Wonderful coverage

I have been using Double Wear Makeup for 3 years. I've tried other products but nothing compares to the staying power and finish of this product. I've always had the problem of my make up sliding off by midday. This lasts until you take it off, but it doesn't look thick and caky like a mask. I love it !!!! It does last a long time if you use your fingers or a brush but not a sponge.
