We use this printer stand for a network printer in our office. The printer is big and so we wanted a big, sturdy cart. I like that it's made out of metal -- a printer stand made out of some cheap particle board wood not have been durable enough. You don't need many tools to put it together - just a phillips head screwdriver, and also you might need a rubber mallet for the wheels (though I was able to just push the wheels into place without a mallet). Although they include a metal wrench in the box, its much easier to use a socket wrench.The shelves are very useful -- with the dividers they supply you get twelve compartments for holding 8-1/2 x 11 stacks of paper. We use a variety of paper so this works great for us. They supply 2 cotter pins which holds the bottom shelf in place, but you really need 6 more so that you can lock all the shelves into place -- I'm not sure why they don't just supply the other 6. If you don't lock the shelves into place then they can be pulled all the way out and will probably land on someone's foot. Not a big deal as I was able to get a package of (6) 5/32 x 1" cotter pins at Home Depot for only 67 cents.
