Its beauty is more than skin deep
By KayKay
A friend says the stainless contemporary pots belong in MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) and I agree: absolutely beautiful. On top of that, it performs wonderfully. Heat distribution and retention is just as good as the cast iron dutch oven I can no longer use on my glass-top range. This is a great size for soups and stews and a big "mess" of Southern-style green beans can simmer hour after hour with little moisture loss, thus no sticking. I intend to purchase more of this line.

No more stovetop wobbling
By Diane Mack
I bought this pot to replace an old copper-bottomed stainless steel soup pot that wobbled violently every time I boiled water in it on our new ceramic stovetop. I knew from the instructions that came with the appliance that some of my cooking utensils needed to be replaced, but I couldn't find what I needed in local stores at a reasonable price. I chose this pot because: (1)it was exactly the size I wanted; (2) the weight of the pot seemed to be sufficient that it would work well on my new stovetop; (3) it was within budget, though at the upper end of it; and (4)it had some good reviews already. Now that I've used it (once)I can state that it performs beautifully on a ceramic surface, it is heavy enough but not too heavy, and it is good-looking, too!

An excellent water bath for flan
By Bonne Maman
This size, shape and depth made the souppot a better water bath for a flan in a casserole dish than shallower alternatives. I have also made beef stock from oxtail in this as it is large enough to accommodate larger pieces. I rub baking soda all over it to get all the tallow out of it.
