If you need a 12" high powered bass speaker for the low end of a full range setup, this is a good option--especially for the price.In my unique application, I use them to round out a full range speaker system for amplification of a "modeled" guitar amplification system which simultaneously uses1. Analog pre and power amps2. Hardware amplification modeling and multi-effects3. Computer-based (Amplitube; GarageBand) guitar and stomp box models.but also, during jam sessions, these speakers cabs (the 12B's) can be assigned solely to the bass guitar--they sound great for this too.With 16 ohms, they are also the PERFECT partner in parallel to a pair of 8 ohm 12" full ranges (I used the Eminence Beta 12LTA's; NOTE: Their volume is specifically matched to the LTA's for this configuration).The bottom line is that you never know if they'll work for your application until you try them. I think there is very low risk involved in this purchase for most applications. They are solid, application flexible, and cost effective. YMMV.
