The Vandoren V16 A7 Alto mouthpiece is a very versatile piece.While they advertise this as a "jazz" mouthpiece, I find it works best asa all-around piece for any "commercial" music situation. I tend to work alotof pit orchestras, and find the even tone and good projection of this mouthpiecegrants me the ablility to blend, as well as solo, on most Broadway shows.Tuning is more than acceptable from pp to ff.Some may feel it's a bit too bright,butplay around with different reeds and ligatures and you can find a great sound.I'm very happy with the purchase.(The Tenor V16 is great,too)

I love Vandoren mouthpieces! I started with a jumbo java A55, but it is too open for me, a lot of pain to make my sound with 2.5 reeds, now with V16 A7M it is easier to produce a nice sound.Another important issue was Amazon Selling the product, very good choice, very good delivery time and excellent price!
