Exceptional Accuracy at a Very Attractive Price
By Peter Haas
The subject watch is quite similar to an earlier "Railroad Approved" wrist watch made under the Seiko brand. The two are the same "caliber" (that is, size), but not the same mechanism.Earlier, the Seiko "Railroad Approved" watch had an enameled dial while the Pulsar watch had a paper dial. With the PJ6007, the Pulsar version has been upgraded to incorporate an enameled dial for very high contrast and for easier reading in poor lighting conditions. The PJ6007 has also been upgraded to 100 meters water resistance, from, I believe, 30 meters.Although perhaps one-half as expensive as the Seiko-branded "Railroad Approved" watch, this Pulsar is an exceptional performer. The "hack" feature works well, enabling one to set the watch dead-on to a time server.Time-keeping is exceptional. The watch neither gains nor looses a second in several weeks, easily besting any of the several "Railroad Approved" watches I own, including Seikos. The adjustable band is very difficult to adjust. To remove a link you must push the pin out from the smaller of the two side openings using a very small, yet very stiff tool. Once the trick is learned, band adjustment can be effected within a few minutes, but the first link takes about a half-hour to accomplish. Removing links accomplishes a coarse adjustment of band size. A fine adjustment is available on the clasp, with three positions there. The Pulsar PJ6007 is an exceptionally good time-keeper, and with the upgraded enameled dial it is an exceptionally attractive "Railroad Approved" wrist watch, too, certainly equal to the more expensive Seiko in that respect.

Pulsar RR approved face
By THOMAS M. Murray
I have a Times watch w/a great large easy to read face and was looking for something a little more upscale which had day/date as well. This Pulsar filled the bill. It is good looking, very accurate and has an easy to read face.
