My cellular/Broadband provider Verizon Wireless will only allow me to get as low as 75db. Without the PowerMax I was averaging anywhere from 90 during the days to 100-110 during the nights. Keeping in mind that my home is deep-deep in the woods in the humid state of Georgia I needed to improve my signal. After hunting for a well-rounded signal booster I finally decided to purchase the PowerMax and see if it's uses were as good as it's advertisements. After opening the box and sorting through the equipment I immediately plugged the cables in without properly following the necessary guidelines. Right on the spot I had only recieved a slight improvement with my signal but from what I had currently had it was a big difference. I then attempted several set-ups with a final installation of a 20 foot pvc pole on top of my house 20 inches of insulation above the ceiling(this came with the house) and the internal antenna pointing downwards from my ceiling; 50 ft straight-line distance from the external antenna. Now the flaws of the system first. the Internal antenna cable does not block out external interferences; I had to wrap the wire in aluminum foil to block out other signals. Inside my house the little internal antenna PowerMax offers is ok, but the downside is that if I prefer a good 75db signal over a 90db then I have to be in the same room within 20 feet from the antenna. Outside this range the signal drops, but does not fail. It is a good system for reliability and a boost but as for the 60db gain I cannot vouch for this. Also the range of the booster inside the house is limited-I do not get 5000 square feet with it.

I would recommend this amp for anyone that has limited cell phone coverage inside their home. Get that outside signal inside!
