Military award Shadow Box

the shadow box is a beautiful design made with quality woodwork and a rich color. This is the second one I purchased and by far the nicest one I've seen. The slot for the american flag compliments the medals appropriately.

MADE IN CHINA

Received the colonial shadow box with flag today, quick delivery. The shadow box was nice, had a finger print on the Plexiglas, but that is no problem. Since I am satisfied with the box I am not sending the order back. What I have a big problem with is the flag. The first thing I seen when opening the package with the flag in it was a sticker that reads "MADE IN CHINA". The flag made a faster than the speed of sound into my trash can. An American vet displaying a flag made in china NOPE. You don't get a 5 star rating from me.

BEAUTIFUL but one flaw

This is a fantastic way to display all my husband's Navy medals & awards. It's unfortunate that the very slightly larger/thicker retirement flag doesn't fit in here though...disappointing. Now I have to buy some random cheap-o flag to put in here and display the one that actually means something to him seperately in another case, increasing clutter.If they used a more sturdy backing material and sturdier clips to hold it on, his flag would fit, but they cheaped out on the backing which is practically balsa wood, and the clips are regular bendable cheap frame clips which are too short to fasten the back on if there is something bulky in the case.

Excellent small tachometer

I installed this tach on a 2007 Toyota Yaris with manual transmission. Connection was simple, involving only 4 wiring connections (red wire to 12 volt "+" at ignition switch, black wire to chassis bolt under dash, white wire to dashboard lighting circuit, and green wire to Tach Signal wire at OBD-II connector). Product does not come with wire taps, you have to buy your own or use wire nuts or solder the splices. The tach mounts via a 1" square, flat pedestal that has holes for three #8 sheet metal screws, or you can use the included double-sided adhesive pad.The movement of this tach seems to be very smooth and precise. At $68, it is twice as expensive as the equivalent Sunpro tach, but I wanted full scale of 6000 rpm, not the 8000 rpm that was the only type offered by Sunpro, so I went with this unit. Build quality seems very good, consistent with the $68 price.The instruction booklet for connecting the tach is not very detailed. The instructions suggest that the product can be used on "most" types of electronic and CDI ignitions, and older point-and-coil ignitions. This tach can NOT be used on "magneto" type ignitions, which includes most recip airplane engines and smaller outboard boat motors (typically 25 hp or less). There is a three position switch on the back of the unit for selecting 4, 6 or 8 cylinders. This implies that the tach would probably give an incorrect reading on other engines, for example 3 cylinder Honda Insights, or the new-for-2008 5 cylinder Volkswagen Rabbit.UPDATE: September 2012Have now had this tach installed for five years (55,000 miles) in the Yaris, and it's still functioning perfectly.

Realistic Tachometer

Good tach for people who don't need an 8k.Wanted a 6k for my older V8. Made for mounting on horizontal surface like dash so had to fabricate mount for my use.

Very Accurate Tach..Installed on Dodge ram vam 5.2 L

Purchased this Tachometer to install on my Dodge Ram van 5.2 L V/8 w/o.d. Reads very accurate..because of it's smaller in diameter size you can just about mount it anywhere. mounted mine on steering wheel column and still have great visibility of the stock instrument cluster gauges. the larger model would have partially blockedthe stock gauges. I give this Tachometer a thumbs Up Rating! Recommended product.TABJR Huntsville,AL

A viable and more economical alternative to laser level poles.

I was a bit wary of ordering this laser level pole without any other reviews being submitted.This pole is definitely a viable and less expensive option for laser level poles.It is adjustable using screw on segments. The bottom segment has a foot pedal to hold it in place while you slide the pole to the needed length. The sliding movement is for fine adjusting the height of the pole.It is sturdy enough. The graduation marks line up when the segments are screwed together.Has a few down sides but not deal killers.Sliding the pole to length is a bit unwieldy. It's also a bit of a pain to turn the tightening collar tight. I doubt it's anything an occasional do it yourselfer would find to be terribly annoying. Professional users, I imagine, would get tired of it pretty quick.One final downside that I have come across is that the rubber top can sometimes leave a dark mark on the ceiling. Make sure it's clean or put a clean rag between the pad and the ceiling.The pole supports both of the most common thread sizes for laser levels. The mounting piece looks big enough to handle a variety of laser levels. I use a Johnson laser level so fitment is not a problem. All the pieces come in a purpose made bag for easy storage. The material doesn't seem like it could take a major beating though.Not sure what else to add. It's easy to use and I think it would be great for DIY type people. Pro users would be better served by something more sturdy/expensive.
